Hi Kamal
Very interesting image of the buffalo face. All the detail in the long face is well captured and sharp in the areas that are important. The shadows are handled well and the colouring in the buffalo face is good. Might I suggest a crop, perhaps, square which would also eliminate the distracting horse and cart in the background. Well captured with a phone. Wishing you and your family a happy holiday season |

Hi Greg. For this portrait the lighting works extremely well with no details lost in the shadows, viewers eye is immediately drawn to the sitters eye line and he is staring directly at the camera that works well. The split lighting on his face also helps to draw the attention then down to the ribbon and the metal which is illuminated very well. Altogether extremely well captured image. A minor suggestion, on his left shoulder you can see a portion of the chair which seems out of place and could easily be cloned out. Enjoy your Christmas with family and friends |

Hi Erin a very nice family portrait and your choice to have them walking away while still showing togetherness works well. I do like the captured rim lighting around their hair that works well in this image. I am in agreement with Greg on the cropping I would shorten it from the bottom without impacting or losing any of the shadow area and perhaps bring it in from the side. If you do not need to maintain the aspect ratio I would probably also take a bit of the sky at the top of the image as it is blown out on my screen and detracts marginally from the image. Also with the colours I agree with Greg that you can push the saturation and vibrance of the autumn leaves which would give more punch I believe to the image. Congratulations will captured and thought through image. Hoping you have a great enjoyable Christmas with family and friends enjoy. |

Hi Darcy. Very interesting exercise in macro photography achieved well, and mysterious enough to get the viewers interest immediately. For my eye I would probably clone out the very dark seed in the upper left of the image and perhaps brighten the main seed and the immediate area of the white threads just to draw more attention to that very interesting portion of the image. Your choice to flip the image also works to add interest. Lovely image and well capture technical exercise. All the best for Christmas to you and your family enjoy. And not too much mischief or Santa may take you off his list next year. |
