Thanks for the suggestions Erin, you were spot on with the point of view, the camera was extremely close to the ground looking up to capture the sky. |

Welcome to the group Erin looking forward to seeing your images.
The detail on the player is excellent there is no doubt about the process and the action that is being performed, with the dust providing the sense of movement and action. Two minor suggestions, make a selection of the background components behind the wire and just apply a minor Gaussian blur, this may help in bringing more attention to the player and perhaps a crop on the right-hand side, taking out the lady in the black and white hat, give more prominence more balance to the image. suggestion edits that you may consider attached. Well court action shot thanks for sharing |

Hi Greg well timed capture. You have handled the background well, is very difficult to get decent backgrounds in these environments, your lighting is excellent illuminating the horse and the rider from the left works extremely well. Following on Karen's suggestion perhaps turning down the guy with the white hat in the background would also assist. Lovely well-timed image thanks for sharing |

Hi Kamal first impression when opening the image was wow. I like the crop and the overall lighting effect you have achieved. I agree with Karen on cloning out the emblems on her sleeves and as a suggestion perhaps lightening just her face on the dark side marginally. Following on Karen's comments on the hands, perhaps toning those down marginally, although I do like Karen's version without the hands. Great image and as I say first impression was wow |

HI Ingrid, a beautiful image and indeed as it's in your garden a lovely flower you have grown. Your processing is handled very well with no evidence of the reconstructed petal, background works well and a nice choice to use another suitable image for the background. Being very picky with the image, you may want to have a look at a section of what looks like the original background halfway up the image on the stalk and below one of the petals. Also on some of the leaves on image right is very evident black lines which don't look natural to me and on the lower leaves on the right some brown sections which could be decaying foliage however it is a minor distraction you may wish to address. Lovely image and will processed |

Hi Karen. This definitely meets my interpretation of minimalist photography and I prefer the submitted image over the original submission. For my eye the original does not immediately draw my gaze to the wheat stalk I am drawn to the vastness more so on the right of the image with the stalk hardly featuring in such a vast expanse, perhaps if it was centred, but I still think it would be lost in the vastness. The submitted image however I was immediately drawn to the detail in the stalk particularly as contrasted against the sky and then the remaining stalks, in the lower frame left, add to the interest and a further description of the scene. I do like the clouds in the sky adding more interest. My only suggestion would be to flip the image back and have the curve of the stalk bring the eye into the image. And I do like that you have started stalk right on the corner of the image. To me as a very lovely image. |

For some reason, the full description did not get inserted as below the rest of the description
All Church and foreground images ISO 500, 20 seconds at F4 with 14 MM lens
The church was painted in small sections with a very low power torch multiple sweeps of the area, all layers masked to reveal the section of the Church and foreground required, together with eliminating the distracting areas, typically the person with the torch obviously having to be close to the shot.
Photoshop processing was mainly of the sky toning down a number of stars that were not in the Milky Way complex to give more emphasis to the Milky Way, then brightened and sharpening the light areas of the Milky Way itself.
Thank you for viewing and I do hope that you are staying safe as our press is reporting very severe heatwave conditions within America Canada and parts of Europe. I do hope you are staying safe if you are in any of these areas.
Thanks for viewing
