14 Jun 23 Reply Hi Kamal, my apologies, I just now realised that I did not address you by your preferred name, again my apologies Jun 22nd
14 Jun 23 Reply Hi Karen.

Thank you very much for that input. I very much appreciate how we interpret our images differently, both within this group and among my other photographic friends. To me, this provides both inspiration and appreciation for people's art/photographs. Thanks for the encouragement

14 Jun 23 Comment Hi Greg. Well-captured Astro image particularly with such a striking foreground.

I like the final results and think the sky is presented in its true colour with no noticeable movement in the stars, good choice of 25 second exposure. The colour of the Milky Way is well presented and well captured.

You have bought out the details in the foreground well and the brighter illuminated areas tend to lead the eye into the image. I am of two minds about the branches in the upper section of the image one believing that it acts as a border preventing the viewer from leaving the image. My other thought is that it could be a bit of a distraction. However, if it was my image I think I would leave them there.
Well captured and processed

14 Jun 23 Comment Hi Syed. Interesting image took me a while to work out which way the boats were going initially.
The size of the elements against the muddy water makes for a very graphic effect particularly taken from the distance you were from the subjects. I might suggest a crop, as the top of the image does not offer anything to the strength of this image. As an experiment perhaps adjusting the contrast to bring out the shape of the waves within the water movement itself might present an interesting look to the image. You do well capturing these images while flying, presenting very different aspects of the various images.

14 Jun 23 Comment Hi Xiao

Wishing you all the best in within your new study group and that you enjoy your time sharing bird photography with other like-minded photographers.

This image lives up to your normal submission with very sharp details in the eye and face, immediately drawing the viewer's attention straight to the face. The plumage is depicted extremely well showing the colours and textures well. The background is handled well, perhaps the bright spots on the lower right could be handled a bit better. Thanks for sharing and again all the best in the new group. Tom

14 Jun 23 Comment Hi Darcy.

I do like your composition with the three elements staggered in both distance and height within the image itself, I do agree with Greg's comments on the image being soft, as it appears on my screen. And also you might also wish to consider toning down the bright fronds in the background upper right, as they draw the eye away.

Nice composition.

14 Jun 23 Reply Hi Greg, as always, thank you very much for that input. I am known in my camera club for producing dark images which is where my personal taste typically goes. But I also do appreciate that we all have different tastes when it comes to photography. Thank for taking the time and your input.

14 Jun 23 Comment Hi Karen.

I do agree with Greg that the horizon needs to be addressed and it is quite a busy image.

I would probably attempt tighter crop initially particularly attempting to get rid of the timber floor and where that is not possible using one of the fill options in photoshop. I would also try a double vignette, the first one being a normal vignette trying to reduce to luminosity levels around the edges, then a second one, this time around the face and upper body to body trying to increase the luminosity level just a bit to draw the attention to the models face. You are a much braver person than I, doing weddings particularly and attempting new techniques in what would have been a very hectic stressful busy day. I have attached my vignette ides, as easier to show than explain.

14 Jun 23 Comment Hi Ingrid. The image that is posted is extremely small and a bit hard to analyse. However, as presented it is a very lovely image with the colours working well and the apparent sharpness being spot-on throughout. Nice flower. Jun 13th
