Hi Darcy, thank you, very glad you liked it. yes, the Opera house features heavily with Vivid photographers and I have quite a few over the years. There are three locations around the area where no matter what time, it is shoulder-to-shoulder photographers. One particular (attached unprocessed grab shot) gives a wide vista and is very popular. Generally, most people are courteous and friendly but it is crowded. while I go to these locations there is a lot going on in other areas as well. it can be very challenging, with low light, nighttime, crowds etc but a good event and worth the challenge. |

Hi Kamal Another nice image from your aerial platform, difficult to shoot while flying I imagine. I agree with Greg on removing the image in the upper left corner it doesn't add anything to the image. Detail on the boats is well rendered with the activity obvious to the viewer. Well captured thanks for sharing |

Hi Karen lovely image, great choice of angle to shoot from and the leading line forces the viewer along the line of vehicles. The only comment I have is dependent upon the use of the image, If it is one of your personal images I would consider changing the yellow car to a more subdued colour, it does stand out. If however, it is to represent the day and be a true representation of that day I believe you have no choice but to leave the yellow bonnet there. Nice image well-recorded thanks for sharing |

Hi Xiao, definitely depicts a man with intent and purpose.
Your editing works well with the tones you have worked on improving the image. The structural components of the architecture add to the power of the image and you have handled the light on these elements extremely well.
Might I suggest that the light beams on the upper structure are a little bit distracting but I think it definitely adds to the image giving a sense of depth that may or may not be there without them. Suggest you may want to experiment with toning them down just a bit more, a minor consideration.
A powerful image and your edits work extremely well congratulations |

Hi Ingrid, lovely landscape and I can see why you were drawn to this location.
The tonal range and luminance levels, foreground to background, gives depth to the image and the sky and clouds are handled very well. You may want to experiment with a crop eliminating a small section of the sky as it doesn't seem to be much going on there. Consider an edit on the car under the tree, not a distraction but once seen it draws the eye.
As a suggestion have you considered rotating the image, see my attached, to me with the image rotated it just drags the eye into the image a little bit more, personal taste. Lovely location and lovely image handled well. |

Hi Darcy the image definitely depicts the force of water flow.
To me the exposure is just long enough to show the power of the water any longer, I think it would soften the water and remove the aspect of force and power. The tree on the right to me anchors the shot and enforces a viewer to follow the water flow out of the image. The leading line of the water flow gives a sense of mystery wondering where the flow starts, together with the hint of light in the background adding to that. Overall a good image definitely depicts the scene on the day. |

Hi Greg, iconic location and I'm very jealous as I would love to visit this location, it looks spectacular.
Your capturer of the shaft of light with the dust suspended in the air flow works brilliantly and the depth of field is evident with the various layers of the rock faces leading to the background through the light shaft.
The prominence of the light source in the top middle is evident but definitely the eye is drawn to the dust suspended in the light shaft. The decision to eliminate a number of the bright spots particularly on the ground and the upper right quadrant, I think is a good choice and processed well. Your handling of the rock texture works well my only negative comment is on my screen I think the reds are saturated little bit too heavily. Other than that lovely image I like it. |
