Hi Syed well-composed image, I like the leading lines focusing you toward the sky and the clouds, tonal balance is good in the brickwork. I agree with Quang and Greg on achieving the same height on the lines. On my screen, there are a few issues with the areas of the cloud appear blown out on the left adjacent to the columns and a few strange artifacts around the edge of the clouds. overall a great idea well excuted |

Hi Qiang, nice image and good use of cropping to make the horse the centre of attention, I like your framing with the two fence supports framing the horse and leading the viewers eye. You have captured the environment well you can definitely feel the wind and the blue tintin the sky gives a chill to the viewer. As a suggestion follow Greg's advice with the clouds, if it were my image I would probably place a slight gradient to darken (slightly) the are image right, placing more emphasis on the area around the horse |

Thanks For that input Greg, I agree the bridge column is a bit of a dark monolith and could do with a bit of definition, I do have the information in another image so will be a simple process to achieve.
Keep safe and enjoy your photography |

For my eye I think the dark bug should go, it doesn't add to the image, if anything it draws the viewer away from what I believe is the main point of the image, the loverly stamens against the vivid petals. The other bug does not detract, indeed it would add a sense of surprise when the viewer see it and I believe the viewer would only see it after enjoying the stamens. I think leave small bug, as much as I hate rules in photography, there is a saying "what doesn't add, detracts from the image" so let's turn that on its heels and say in this case what doesn't detract must add, we will call that a tomism :) . I hope that helps. Stay safe, tom |

Hi Darcey, no didn't see it until you mentioned it. initially saw the dark one in the flower, the other critter went unnoticed by me, mother natures camouflage is better than my eyes obviously :).
happy shooting

Hi Xiao, two very different effect, the original seems very cold environment while your reworked image is more inviting and warm. The story is very obvious and presented well. I like your crop and subject placement, with your choice of aperture works well isolating the subject from background. While I like both images I believe your reworked image better represents the story, not much I would change if it was my image, perhaps working the horizontal lines on the background building, they are a little distracting but a minor consideration. Loverly image well captured and presented while telling a great and obvious story. Stay safe |

Hi John, great image, I like you lighting, rim lighting isolating the subject from background, side lighting giving shape and defining the curvature. The addition of the lighting on the logo and label (bottom right) adds to the overall definition and effect. And of course choosing a wine coming from Australia definitely shows you are a cultured man :)
Nice image well captured and presented. Stay safe |

Hi Darcy, I like the way you have featured the flower while leaving the cactus slightly blurred. Your positioning of the stamen strongly centred against the petals gives prominence to the green, and I like your crop. If it was my image I would probably tone down the very bright area at the top left of centre, cut and paste from another toned down area of the image. I have similar images with a bug on the flower and I always question whether the bug actually add to the image, or do I just leave it there as a novelty, a constant debate I have with myself. In this case I think the image is strong enough and the bug add nothing. Loverly captured and presented image. Stay safe |

Hi Greg, great capture in what is often a very difficult environment. Colour seem accurate and detail is very good, and shadows handled very well. I agree with your choice to let the image stand alone. The drums add to the environment giving concept. Well composed image.
The only suggestion I might make, if it was my image, would be to leave the crop oak is but bring some. I'd the stage lighting effect, top left, down into your image, not much just a small amount. Again well captured and presented image. |
