Thanks to all you folks. And I will make the cable car tower disappear. Fully agree. Don't really know why I kept it there. Perhaps it was to tell people that I did not climb the mountain, but leisurely made use of the cable car... |

Tom, your vertical version and slight crop works well with me. You made an ordinary picture look interesting. Did you convert the image to a slight sepia tone? It looks like that on my monitor, while Jennifer's version is pure bw. |

Hi Larry - those clicks made it all, for me at least. The nice sky and the clouds are kept intact, while the warmth of the general scene is there as well. |

You make me envious, this is a really nice photo of a marvelous bird. I would have kept the image as is - the forked branch makes the image seem more natural, and the emptiness on the left, gives me the impression that the bird is ready to fly. Nice shot! |

High key is an unknown field for me as well. But I will surely try it. This is a nice portrait with a nice model. I am sure she is happy with the final product. Well done.
For me, I would have kept the image like the one you submitted. Jehhifer put a bit more contrast to it, but I feel it pushed the image slightly into looking a bit artificial. But that's just me.. |

I agree with the others on the issue of contrast. And I imagine this would be a nice introduction to a series of photos from that Abbey. Would be a very interesting project, very suitable for monochrome. |
