Phillipa, very creative. I think what really makes it for me is the different shapes of color that were in your paint tray. |

Brian, your swirling tartan is appropriately named. The brightest colors are a little too neon for my taste but the outer blends make up for it. I did look up Michelle Whitmore. Thanks for including her website. Having looked at how she uses flowers to create wardrobes I would have thought your sweet peas would have made a good pair of pants. :-) |

Peter, before your explanation I thought the "monster" was a frog in a birdbath. It is an amazing standalone picture as is the surf. Together they make something entirely different which, if I am correct, is what our creative process is all about. |

Joan, I too will try the technique. When you do the mirroring with a variety of textures I'm sure you could get some amazing designs. I did notice a faint line on the left-hand side where the seam did not quite come together. |

Brian, thank you for your detailed comments. They are very helpful to my ongoing learning process. I will try another rendition with the moon and the cowboy larger. The dark patch on the moon is actually a shadow of the horse and rider that I added. I did not know if a shadow would actually show up there but decided I would try. It is easily removed or faded because it is not where I would want the eye to be drawn. |

Phillipa, thank you for your enthusiastic response to my picture. The atmosphere can play tricks on your eyes but in this case I think it was one of the filters I used that cause the cowboy to lose some of its sharpness. I should be able to apply a mask and sharpen it up. |
