Hi Rick, these must grow on an exotic planet! I love the the rich red tones. I agree with Joan about the the frame. |

Hi Billy, there she goes in a swirl of the bold colors of her dress! One can hear the music and the tapping of her shoes. I think that the guitar player in the corner is an essential contribution, and love the contrast that the bright gold of his instrument makes with the colors of the dancerÂs dress. However, I think that the bright yellow at the edge tends to draw the eye from the dancer. I tried to darken the color of the guitar a bit and reduce its brightness - what do you think? |

Hi Christine, I can relate to your experience looking at the endless sea meeting the sky in the horizon. I think that the image can also be also seen as a comment on the strong the human presence in the scene, in the form of the boats and the airplane. - I wonder if cropping off some of the ocean at the bottom and concentrating on the beautiful sky would enhance the feeling of vastness? What do you think? |

Hi Joan, this is such a clever image with the strict symmetry and the diagonal lines leading the eye to the boy on his bright red bucket. At first glance, it is not clear that it is buses he is cleaning; it could be any shiny high-tech structure. The contrast to the coarse pavement with the tuft of grass is delicious and gives it, I think, a slightly surreal touch. I wonder if your original crop would work, too, and even increase the feeling of symmetry - I painted away the distracting leaves and the wires in the part of sky, and reduced the saturation. What do you think? |

Hi Joan, and thank you! It is always such a thrill when someone can see the image the way it was intended. - I showed this one to my old mother who is usually quite responsive even to the weirder ideas, and was rather disappointed when she insisted that it is clearly a map with some water in the middle, and a mountain range⬠She liked the colors, though! |

Hi, all very good points, but I cannot help that I like the original best. I think that the sign balances the wooden structure on the right? |

Hi Robert! Thank you - I'll keep working on the image. - Here is another frame from a different angle that I have been playing with. The strong light at the end of the tunnel is the same, but this one shows the structures of the walls better? I think that I have put this through Nik HDR Efex Deep blue filter - couldn't keep track on the modifications... |

Hi Al, I think this is my favourite of your gorgeus mountain images so far! I think that the panoramic format really shows the vastness of the scene, and the tones of the snow and the light and shadows are so beautiful. Is it the toning that gives the blacks this deep velvety soft quality? |

Hi Jeff, a great image! I can see what attracted you in the scene, and the bike definitely adds an intriguing element to the story. You have transformed the building to a dramatic and a bit of sinister scene with the dark tones and the strong contrast that create a special mood. This is like an opening image of a movie - I am waiting for the door to open, or someone appear in the window - and what is inside the strange boxes! |

Hi Ed, I think that you have got the philosophy of the art in one image in a beautiful way. The dynamic moment shows the easy fluid movement that I think is the essence of Aikido (I have a background with judo myself - so I can really appreciate it). The calm concentration in the face of the man sets the atmosphere, and the principles on the wall of the dojo complete the image. I think that the composition shows the essential elements in a fine balanced way, and the calm sepia tones emphasize the message. |

Hi Robert, this is a wonderful image - it mediates the spooky unreal scary atmosphere perfectly and gives rise to intriguing stories. What does the wary dog see? What happens behind the high walls and in the darkness? - I think that composition really works, with the lonely dog and his shadow on the lane that disappears in the darkness, and the contrast between the dark tones and the eerie white of the branches is most effective. I would love to see the original, too, and learn more about what you did. |

Hi Maria, a lovely dreamy image where everything fits together, from the pale muted tones to the flowers/leaves/butterflies floating in the air. I think that the newest version with the sheep may be even more interesting, and it makes a very balanced composition, both within the individual frames, and in the their combination. It feels like looking through the scene through a window. |

Hi Brad, a great story and fantastically natural look in the way the beasts emerge from the puddles. I love especially the way the reflections of the trees on the puddle with the big one blend in. I vote for a little third alligator, too. And the title is great. |

Hi Peggy, he has landed on the rooftop straight from another dimension. I think that your wonderful ICM layer gives the image a sense of movement, like a strong wind were blowing and raising clouds of dust in eerie colors that blend into each other. The colors are absolutely beautiful, and repeat the tones of his garb in lighter transparent shades - did you achieve this with Topaz Restyle? A lovely image! |
