Thank you, Joan! I'll try to see if I can make the ghost of the Walter better visible ,
Maybe some local contrast would help? A wonderful Christmas and New Year! |

Thank you, Billy! You are right about the lights, I'll see what I can do to them. Merry Christmas!

Hi Joan, thank you for the image! I had the opportunity to see the mountain live in the nineties when we lived a while in Northern California, and this view is one of my most cherished memories. I think the panorama format suits the image very well, and the two fir trees in the middle of the foreground sort of mirror the twin peaks. The lights and shadows on the snowy ridges are so beautiful. I love the color version, too, with the wonderful light. |

Hi Billy, a fine capture of the decisive moment, with everybody's eyes on the ball. I think that the way you have placed the players, the coach and the spectators in the image gives it a fine sense of depth and dimension, and the edits work beautifully. I can really appreciate your skills as my own success rate in sports images tends to be one useable per memory card.- I was wondering about the player at the right edge who is only partially visible. Would it concentrate attention to the action in the middle even better if you cloned her off? I think that cropping would not work as you need the space for the ball to fly in? |

Hi Rick, she really makes that statement - I think that the camera angle shows her in a perfect pose, she is bold and beautiful and special, and knows it herself. The details, depth and tones are exquisite, and the "ordinary" background makes her stand out and empasizes her special quality. This is a very fine portrait of a flower. |

Hi Jeri, this really is like the sun coming out. I love the way the yellows and oranges blend, and the ing petals that give it a three-dimensional feeling. The play of lights and shadows is beautiful. |

Thank you,Al, so very much! I can see in my mind how it would look like, and I think that it will be just the thing. The problem is that they have erected a fence round the area, so the camera angle options are limited, but I will do my best. I am a huge Hitchcock fan, but don't remember seeing "Frenzy". I'll try get hold of it now. A wonderful New Year to you! |

Thanks, Ed! I am afraid that the plot will be crammed with ubiquitous white cubicles of apartments with hair-rising prices - they are already advertising.
After wiping away everything that was, they will probably name the area to something like "Old Ceramic Factory Lane", though, to increase the attraction. I keep thinking what a great community center or work space for artisans it could have made. |

Hi Ed, I think that you have captured a very special moment of caring and tenderness. The background elements give the context, and I love the way the beautiful light from the window and from the lamp form a frame round the bed and the two persons. A lovely image! |

Hi Al, this must have been a memorable encounter! My first idea was an aerial of a vulcanic landscape, but then a corner of the mouth and maybe an eyelid started to come into view. This would also work beautifully as an abstract. The sharpness and tones give it a fine sense of three-dimesional structure. A most interesting image - have many guessed right at first attempt? |
