Thanks, Joan, darkening the background is a good idea, I'll do that!
I was the other one with a mask - this was a short period with only a"strong recommendation" before the numbers of new cases shot up again. We have an extremely complicated set of rules that seem to change weekly. |

Hi Joan! The incipient one looks a she is just ready to burst to full glory. I love the hint of yellow in her center. I wonder what opening the shadows in that area just a bit more would do? The out-of-focus background is like an impressionistic painting. |

Rick, this is truly wonderful, with the bright yellow flowers in the center of the splendor under the ink-blue sky. I think that the composition and perspective lead the watcher right into the image, and the sense of depth is such that it feels like one could wade through the flowers to look what is behind the top of the hill. |

Hi, it looks wonderful! I think that there is a perfect composition: if you set the golden spiral grid on, the center of the flower sits right in the center point, and the tips of the blue toned petals fall on the arch. I think that the upper left corner is fine, too. If you want to experiment with a more abstract feeling, you could try to flip it over into a maybe more rainbow-like position? |

Thank you, Rick! The guide had us tie a piece of yellow yarn round our left forefingers before the tour for protection, so I hope it saved the little one from nightmares. |

Thank you, Ed! It has been so great to work with the theatre people. I am thrilled to hear what the models think about the image. |

Hi Jen! I like the original composition, too. I think that the wide sky gives the river room to show it impact as a mighty awesome waterway and not just an ordinary stretch of a river. |

Hi Adrian, I think that you caught the beauty of a face that has seen it all. The marks of age are shown gently although they are sharply in focus, and I especially love her hair. I think that this is a very respectful portrait. - I agree about the crop and darkening the blouse. |

Thanks, Al! The hand has bothered me from the beginning, but it never came to my mind that it could be cloned off. I darkened the shirt a bit and added a discreet vignette. Your tip came just at the perfect moment, as we have to turn in the images at the end of the month. |

Thanks, Adrian! The distressed edge is a great idea. I think that it would enhance the story, as something that the girl has lovingly kept for years as a memory of the relationship. This is the best template I found, will be looking for more. |

Thanks, Jen! This has sure been an interesting project. This is how the the couple look in Silver Efex Full Spectrum preset. I think that the replacement of the sky shows more in this one? |

I think that you really have created a fine vision of your own. You have given life to the sculpture - it feels like a strange god had descended on Earth from the dark skies with an enigmatic smile. I think that the infrared was a perfect choice, with the lack of atmospheric haze and the otherworldly bright white foliage. I wonder if it would benefit from darkening the lighter areas at the left edge, and cropping off a little from the top edge with the small triangular notch, and maybe also a little from the bottom edge, to take the attention even more clearly to his wonderful face? |

Ed, I think that that you have caught the mood and atmosphere of the place perfectly, with a strong emotional impact. The composition emphasizes the contrast between the current destruction and the strangely intact mural that shows how things used to be. It feels like the spirit of the cantina still lingers there. I think the toning supports the story beautifully. |

Colin, she makes an absolutely beautiful triangle, or two, as the light defines both the outer one with the arms and the inner one with the knee. The tones and structure of her hair also come out in a fine way. I wonder what it would look like if she had been facing the camera. Could you tell about the lighting arrangements?
