Jeri, thanks for the comments! The third image has a lot of the technical problems corrected, and deeper tones. I love your idea of the mariner's wife - as this is the lady of the haunted house, I can easily imagine her appearing on - I think the term is widow's walk - waiting in vain for her spouse when the moon is full... |

Bob, this is absolutely beautiful! I love the pools of golden light on the ground and the light coming through the leaves in the background. The composition with the thicker trunks in the front gives a feeling that the forest continues forever. The motion of the camera is just right so that the leaves on the ground do not get blurred. I got an urge to rotate the image just a tiniest bit anti-clockwise? |

Jeri, what an interesting plant! I would also think that you could try the square format, and maybe increase the shadows and contrast a bit to bring the structure of the leaves up. The fluffy white forms a nice cloud-like background for the star. This would make a nice Christmas card idea! |

Rick, this could be a scene directly from a sci-fi adventure. The illusion of three-dimensionality and depth is amazing. |

David, this will be perfect for the theme! The light is beautiful, and the warm color of the window frame makes a nice contrast with the cooler scenery that opens outside. There are a lot of details in the background but the frame keeps it firmly structured. Good luck! |

Nothing like that on our shores, either! The colors are amazing, and the composition is beautiful. I tried to put it through some of the Topaz Studio artistic filters that left only the colors, crude forms and composition, and ended up with several abstract paintings that I would gladly hang on my wall. |

Hi, I am so sorry - donÂt understand what went wrong. What I attached to the e-mail were (or at least looked to me) 1218 x 1500 = 1 Mb for the processed one and 1200 x 1800 =960 kb for the original. I will download the original here again.
I put this one in as an extra for the "Female Head and Shoulders" assignment in the "Portraits in Available Light" course last week, and my tutor sent it back after making some tricks in Topaz Gigapixel AI and Adobe Camera Raw. I will add that too if it is helpful - at least on my screen it opens OK. |
