Hi Robert
Thank you, I like the color modifications you made very much. I am also seeing that the really long pano is not a favourite to many.
Thank you for taking the time to edit the image to show me what you meant re color. I don't think I realized how monotone it was. |

Hi Bob
I love your creative use of filters. Makes me want to experiment more with them. Moving the Church is something I did not think of. It is a bit far to the left so I may play around with that too. Thank you for the ideas.
Yes loneliness just did not happen with the bright colors and light..... |

Hi Dan
I do tend to prefer panoramas. I guess it is just my style. I did create a version without the left side but I missed the rolling hills. Yes I am thinking of going back in winter to see what it looks like. We'll see if I can get a better sky sometime too. |

Hi Haru
I like your idea of darkening things. I find it gives it an ominous feel rather than lonely. I make a second version with darkening as you have suggested. Thanks! |

Hi Dan. I really do love the coloring of this image and I think I know what you were trying to achieve. I think it would benefit from fewer in-focus foreground elements and/or one single larger tree off center to be in focus. My eye does not know where to land as the subject. The other way to go would be to remove all in focus elements and have just a beautiful abstract. I tried removing most in focus elements (but very roughly) to give you an idea of what I mean. |

Hi Kate. I am a horse lover and did some jumping in my younger years (although not at this level of expertise) so I know how fast a moment can disappear. I agree with what Bob and Dan have already said. I also think the camera you had could have let you down a bit as well, being only 7 megapixels and probably not focusing fast enough for the movement which might also be why the image appears soft. It sounds like you had a great time, and this image will be a special reminder for you none the less. |

Hi Haru. It really does look cold and has a lot of interesting areas to focus on. I think it would benefit from a crop to focus on the stream which to my eyes is the subject. There is a lot of surrounding area that does not add to the story. the image would benefit from a crop similar to what Bob did. Also if your intent is to show cold then adding more blue overall would portray that. The only other suggestion would be to work on the highlights and shadows especially in the stream to create more depth. This is a lovely stream. Where is it if you don't mind me asking. I have attached my quick edit but I may have over done the blue. |

I think I can see where you are getting that from! That is a cool response not a weird one but definitely unexpected. It is always nice to understand how the viewer responds to the image. Thank you! |
