Yes the GFX 100S is on my radar. I have the lenses that I would want now so it's just the camera I would have to buy. I love the idea of the upgraded sensor and image stabilization. Now to convince the husband....... |

Hi Emily
I use photoshop and I create a 50% grey layer. Then I use the brush tool with white to dodge and black to burn. I tend to use a low flow of 1% then I can build it up slowly to what I want. I haven't used Luminar in a long time so I am not the best person to to give guidance re how to use dodge and burn in Luminar. |

Hi Bob
My experience of this image is that it is supposed to look bold and otherworldly (is that even a word???) so the bold coloring is suitable. I do agree with Dan regarding the lights being to bright and bold. If you can't tone them down enough I would try cloning them out.
Otherwise this is a really cool image. |

Hi Claudia
I gave Dan's suggestion a try but it did not work too well because I was unable to align the boats exactly. I see what you are trying to portray but the fence is not obvious enough in the final image. I think you would need two images more closely aligned to do this in photoshop. Robert's idea of focus stacking would work too. don't be discouraged though. We all try different things, some work and some don't. |

Hi Bob
I think they are coming out with a new GFX 50s mark II that is supposed to have in body stabilization and close to the price of a full frame camera. I heard around 4800.00 but I guess time will tell. They are saying a Sept launch. It makes me want to buy another one!!!! I have to keep reminding myself that I haven't grown out of this one yet.
Thanks for the cropping suggestion. |

Hi Dan
Yes I think your right about the crop. The current crop was just not right and I could not put my finger on why. You always have such great foreground elements in your images and this is probably why, you don't have too much weight in the sky.
Thanks! |

Hi Robert
I thought I had gotten rid of that halo! I may have sent in the wrong version. It was caused by my blending the two images. With me moving the camera for the second image the trees did not line up when I aligned the mountain.
I think I did correct the horizon but I see what you mean and I'll play around with that.
Thanks for the wonderful feedback. This is why I joined this group. |

Hi Dan
You have again posted an image that I really like. It has great color and foreground textures. I like it with or without the birds. One thing that might make the birds look more natural is to have one farther right and one down farther. Just spread them out so they are not in one clump in the middle. I also struggle just a little with the horizon being close to the middle but I may be just being picky. |

Hi Robert
I love your re-edit. I might just go a bit further with my favorite tool, dodge and burn to deepen some shadows and bring up some midtones. Love the image! |

Hi Emily
I am coming in late here but I do agree with all the other comments. I always take a look at the images and see what I think prior to reading all the comments never the less my ideas mirror what was mentioned above. I took a crack at it too and my version used dodging and burning to bring out more layers in the trees to give it a more 3 dimensional look. I as well darkened along the road so that there was less distracting away from the road which is your main leading line. |
