I wanted to eliminate the background and concentrate on the face. I see gentleness in his eyes. Interesting he doesn't look mean to me. It was taken at with 10-22 lens at 22mm. |

Thank you, I actually noticed it last night and worked on it. I will try your advice especially since Lightroom does have that hair mask. Thank goodness for virtual copies. I really appreciate your Rembrandt comment. Made my day. |

Gary, I am rethinking the position from which you took this photo. I know others mentioned it and I thought it was a good teaching moment for me but I feel your lower position works. I like the impact, first I see her brightly painted toenails, the crossed leg leads to her arm which leads to her face. The colorful dress she is wearing displays her as an independent, one of a kind woman and your angle contributes to that feeling for me. Also, good framing with that boarded up window. |

It is a relevant image of our times and agree with Erik about sharing it. The color pop works here because the subject is the flag and that should stand out. The young lady is very well positioned showing movement. I like that the flag has some puff in it. I do dislike the pole next to her but it still doesn't distract from the message. |

Yes, I am familiar and use them, but to my eye the background is good. I might clone the small amount over his left shoulder. |

Yes, I was close. It was at a sanctuary and they were used to people. I felt like I made a connection. |

Both photos are prize winners. Such great positioning of the birds and really tells a story. You did great capturing it and shows calmness and skill. It is so easy to get caught up in the moment and not have the right settings or a good stance to get a good shot and you did it. The birds are beautiful and I love when animals share. I can see the concentration in the catcher's eye. Eye on the prize. |

Hey Guy, glad you are feeling better. I know you are across the pond from but I use these https://www.cottoncarrier.com/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=BoF_Search_All_Brand_Exact&utm_term=cotton%20carrier%20camera%20systems--e&utm_content=--593115473436&gclid=Cj0KCQjwkqSlBhDaARIsAFJANkiBAJg3JMCT5Gp90TvbmaUycmHBLDP1UmHtGSg2yz-8ACrtlPVc8XQaAiRREALw_wcB
Love the foxglove and agree with the flip and toned down brightness. Could you remove the green foliage behind the foxglove? I like how the deep purple flower is backlit and that there is some purple spots in the foxglove tying the 2 together (figuratively). |

What a great find. I can understand you taking photos of these. But as I look at the buildings, architecturally they are beautiful and having a modern skyscraper behind them adds to the interest. As said before great processing, I love the new removal tool. The image makes me think of "yin yang"- the buildings representing work and the chairs representing leisure. Maybe take out the 2 umbrellas sticking out of the blue chair. I think the lower vignette could be lighter |

The 2 palm trees frame the scene also. I like the pop of color of the chair. A lot of geometric patterns with the lines of trees, lines of water and sand, the circle around the woman and palm fronds. Have you tried black and white? |

Agree with the other comments, and learned from them. Is that considered a hot spot on her face? I am not a people photographer also. |
