21 Apr 26 Comment If the light from the flash hits the bird a fast shutter speed is not needed because the flash fires faster than the camera. That is a big if.

21 Apr 26 Comment I owned that lens for a few days and sold it. I am not sure if that was the problem with the sharpness and detail but I am guessing it was. For the situation I think you did a great jog of the capture. As an aside I use the 100-500 a lot with an extender and it is sharp. Apr 9th
21 Apr 26 Comment This is agreat capture of behavior. I think you could help the detail in the whites very easily by decreasing the whites in camera raw and also decreasing the highlights a little. I am pretty sure your histogram shows too much to the right. Apr 9th

21 Apr 26 Comment Thanks, it is better. I usally use flash on birds. I have been shooting birds a lot in my front yard. I have a Rokinon flash. I sue 1sr curtain for the shutter. Do you happen to know why there is no return detected by the flash in the file info? Apr 9th
