Your image is so good already, I hope my processing wouldn't ruin it. |

Well pre-visualized, composed and excellently executed image, Kathryn!
The textured soil, classic of the badlands, catches my attention, while the leading line formed by the ridge let my eyes rest on the beautiful peak lit by the morning sun.
The only suggestion that I might add, would be to lighten the right side of the ridge that forms the leading line by 1/2 f-stop. I understand the image was caught at the early morning, when the contrast is low. But adding more contrast to the central part of image might bring it more 'alive'. |

Thank you, Judy, for your very insightful comments. It would have been nice to have a blue iceberg contrasting to the warmer color in the sky. But in general, blue color seen in icebergs is due to the absorbed light spectrum that is subtracted from the sun. This tiny piece of the 'iceberg' would not have the density nor mass to do such. Among other images that I took that day, there were pieces that had that bluish quality. But the composition and color of the sky in these images were not as strong as the one that I submitted. |
