Isaac - First my apologies to you as our group leader for being so late in the month with my comments. I did some traveling but mostly I thought I'd already commented on this month's submissions. My apologies to you and the group.
Your image is really colorful and full of action. Havana at its best. There is a lot going on in this photo. Cropping more on the left and right could better focus the viewer's attention on the three main participants, highlighting their intense concentration with the ball.

Bev - First, apologies for being so late with comments this month. A bit of travel, but more likely, a 'senior moment'. I thought I'd reviewed May's photos but I had not.
I like your different treatment of this photo. The story is interesting and your editing makes it unique. The left side of the image is overly bright - it draws attention away from the main subjects and the action. It may have been 'blown out' making it difficult to tone down further.

Pinaki - First, apologies to you for the very late in the month comments. My excuse…. A bit of travel but even more of a 'senior moment'; thinking that I'd already reviewed this month's images (I had not).
Your photo captures much of the essence of New Orleans. Drinking, garish neon lights, walking on the street, and dressing to impress. The over the top colors are reflective of the image that New Orlean's Bourbon Street likes to project to the world. I think you've captured it well.

Ed - First, apologies to you and the group for being so late to add comments. My excuse… a bit of travel and even more, a bit of a 'senior moment' (I thought I'd already reviewed this month's images -- I did not).
As a road cyclist, I was immediately drawn to your photo and to seeing what the man was doing. You captured a different perspective of a cycling event. A more introspective view of the event. He appears to be a bit baffled by where to put these numbers.
The varying shades of green are pleasing. The blacks though, appear blue (at least on my screen and could possibly be adjusted). B |

Kathleen - First, apologies to you and the group for being so late to add comments. My excuse… a bit of travel and a bit of a senior moment (I thought I'd reviewed images but I had not).
Your image does a great job capturing every day life in Paris with the old world elegance of the city in the background and the life of an elegant modern day commuter.
I like your focus on the rider - - - I'm less bothered by the lack of space on the right (but then again I often accidentally cut of parts of images when I am shooting). I think the color works fine. Combined with some of the others editing suggestions you could rework this into an even better image. B
