58 Aug 24 Reply Thanks Isaac - for me the dilemma of keeping the focus on what I perceived to be the main subject (the man) or the man in his surroundings (probably better for a 'street' photo). As you can see I'm still trying to figure this all out. The feedback from the group is as always really helpful. Best. B Aug 26th
58 Aug 24 Reply Sergio - I am always torn about how much to crop or to leave in an image. Since my focus was the train man, I chose to crop in tighter to be able to better see his expression and hand signal. B Aug 26th

58 Aug 24 Comment Kathleen - Pretty amazing to have a person so isolated in a crowded place. Great capture. I like your sepia toning but the original subdued color image works as well. B Aug 26th
58 Aug 24 Comment Sergio - Your image leads the viewer directly to the person walking by. You have a wide range of tones in your B&W. The person makes it a 'street photo'. Without the person you would still have an outstanding image. Appreciate your perspective on photography as a learning tool for myself. Many thanks. B Aug 26th
58 Aug 24 Comment Ed - The B&W does help with an overly bright image. I believe this image would have worked better if the viewer was able to see more of each person's face. B Aug 26th
58 Aug 24 Comment Pinaki - A wonderful image as it was submitted and it has so many other interesting variations that work (which means the original is that good!). Your focus on the boys and as well as keeping all the tourists in the image helps tell the story. B Aug 26th
58 Aug 24 Comment Bev - Nice portrait of the two women. I also wondered at its applicability to the 'street' but understand why you submitted it. B Aug 26th
58 Aug 24 Comment Isaac - Thanks for sharing your technique and showing the original image. The image is crisp and love all the colors. The three women make for interesting conjecture on what each is doing/thinking. B Aug 26th
