Isaac - Brilliant colors and a really interesting story. They literally rolled out the red carpet for your ship. The sharpness of the photo lets the viewer see all of the faces and the interactions between the various 'players' in the scene (dragons, dignitaries, hostesses/hosts, and paparazzi). B |

Sally - I actually like your B&W though it seems to need more blacks and whites. I did a quick edit in PS, more blacks, more contrast, brought up the exposure/shadows in the faces, and darkened some of the background. Cropped a bit off the right to add more focus to the two men. This photo brings back great memories for me. Long-long ago I lived on the cape for a year (a graduate school program). One of my best memories was sitting in my front yard with a student and shucking an entire bushel of fresh bay scallops that he had purchased for me right off the dock. B |

Ed - I took one look at this image and it made me COLD! The combination of the blue color, the man with several layers, and the fact that the sign says 'Petro Canada' all made me shiver. Agree the bush is distracting. Also like your B&W. Sounds like it was a wonderful club and local community project. B |

Gloria - What smiles! What colors! Love the pinks and blues throughout the photo. All the small pies are sold out but the large ones appear to be a bargain (especially if they are homemade). This photo made me smile too. B |

Bill - Your composition is terrific with the woman off to the side and looking out of the frame. Her colorful dress provides contrast to an otherwise (and appropriately) a more drab courtyard. Reading your description was really helpful in getting an even better understanding of the scene and its meaning. Thank you for sharing both the photo and your narrative. B |

Thank you Isaac. I think your edit really improves the image. I struggled with this crop. I was concerned about cutting off any of the seller's body. Looks/feels like a much better photo now. B |
