Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
58 Nov 22 Reply Gloria and All - thank you all for your comments and edits. I keep going back to editing this image (down a rabbit hole??) and trying to apply many of your suggestions/edits. Each time, I learn a bit more (new for me..... the golden rectangle. Time for some research!). Thanks again. B Nov 20th
58 Nov 22 Comment Isaac - This must have been juggling month for Group 58! Your fast shutter really freezes this moment-in-time of the performer and the crowd. I think that Ed is right about the woman in the crowd's glasses. The juggler's left arm is a bit bright as well. A further look at the image and I noticed that in addition to the knives, she is also balancing herself on top of pipes and boards. You captured it all. B Nov 17th
58 Nov 22 Comment Sally - Your image shows how an artisan can create magnificent work with simple tools. The bright green neckless on the red table adds an interesting color contrast. Taking out the lightbulb and decreasing the brightness of the white block helps to strengthens the image. I like the color version best. B Nov 17th
58 Nov 22 Comment Heidi - You did a wonderful job capturing the joy of the music, and as you stated the multi-generations all enjoying the musician's craft. I think Isaac's second edit in B&W really brings the image to even greater life. B Nov 17th
58 Nov 22 Comment Ed - A beautiful story that does justice to what you describe, Remembrance Day. I've seen other ceremonies in France on Armistice Day where the people of entire villages walk quietly to the monuments in the village square that are similar to the one you made sure to include in this photo. I don't recall ever seeing a similar ceremony in the US (but maybe I just was not paying attention). You captured the moment. B Nov 17th
58 Nov 22 Comment Gloria - Love the action of the snake and the woman. You captured the eye and the snake's tongue in perfect focus. The image then draws you in to the woman's face and the joy she is showing while holding it in her hands (and around her neck!). B Nov 16th
58 Nov 22 Comment Bill - Great story and capture. I like how you handled the hockey juggler getting his facial expression as well as the moving sticks. While I think you were trying to tell the story by including a wide range of the audience and the height of the sticks, you could probably crop more from both the right and left sides without losing the impact of the people watching the busker. I don't think you need the sign---your photo title helps with the image's story. B Nov 16th
