Thanks for the added information about the child dressed in white. I had no idea. B |

Great action! The child's facial expression, the mother reaching out to catch the child, and the action in the shadows at the right of the image. You appear to have left some extraneous things on the left side and lower right corner of the image which probably should be removed by cloning or patching PS (cropping might not leave enough room for those great shadows). Interesting how the main subject is so comfortable posing for a photo and that you were able to capture both the workman and the phone photographer at the same time. I like your choice of processing in B&W as it allows the viewer to focus on the subjects rather than colors which may be in the image. There is an interesting line that draws the viewer into the image, running from the top left of the image (photographer's head and arm), through the workman's torso, leading to the top right of the bucket. A well-balanced image both compositionally and with pleasing, natural colors. I like the blue of the sky and snow (taken at the blue hour?). The trees trace an interesting arc across the top of the image leaving space below them for my eyes to look at the train at their base. B |

The joy in the young student's is absolutely contagious. It took me a moment to realize that the light in the eyes of the two students holding the camera is a reflection from the photo they are admiring. The young girl on the right of the image is slightly blurred but it appears that she is moving to see the image on the screen. Her movement gives the photo additional life. I am not sure what you did in processing this image. The hair and clothing have a 'plastic' quality to them and the colors are a bit off. However, the image is so strong that it still works well. B |

This would be a good shot even without the couple but including them provides a focal point along with a human interest story. Your choice of composition leads the viewer right to the couple. Great sky as well. B |

So many layers and shapes make this a compelling photo. The three 'points' (the end of the dress, the screw and the paper) all fit together to make a triangle enhanced by the curve of the woman's body and her dress pattern. The iPhone screen shot of the screw is an added bonus. Each time I looked at this photo I found something new and interesting. B |
