Welcome Roger! The framing of canal boat makes me feel like I am also one of the tourists though I have to look through a porthole or window to make believe I am there in person. I think you could further reduce the bright areas of the image perhaps with a brush in either Camera Raw or Lightroom while bringing up the darker aspects in the tunnel as Isaac suggests. Best. B |

Daniel - You really captured a lot in a single image. The gull (I named the photo 'incoming') and the good humor of the young people watching it. Your exposure (and/or processing) is well done with everything sharp in the image, colors handled well along with interesting clouds over the apartment buildings. |

Gloria - This image made me laugh with the largest sign advertising 'worms'. Since I live in suburban, northern New Jersey we see lots of lottery signs but no worm signs. So, the question I asked myself.... "Is the woman going to the store to buy lottery tickets or worms?" I like the action of the two men working on the storefront along with the action of the woman opening the door to enter the store. Les's suggestion to crop the image creates more focus on the key elements of the photo. B |

Dan - Your capture of the skyline with the colorful buildings, interesting architecture and reflections creates a pleasing image. I used to work in my company's San Diego office (next to the Santa Fe train depot), visiting about 4 times a year and never knew that it was called 'Tool City'. Thanks for sharing that info! B |

Les - your image captured the expressiveness of the snake charmer with his full cheeks and his eyes on the snake. The three subjects (snake charmer and the two snake baskets) are positioned well in your composition. The image is colorful and sharp. |

What an expressive face and colorful image. I also like his hands, especially the one holding the cock. Your trip sounds like it was an adventure. I admire your choice to get away from what most tourist probably see by visiting the smaller towns. Something to remember for when we are able to travel more safely again. |
