58 Jun 21 Reply I never thought about the red lunch box - - - you are right, it adds contrast to the green. Thanks. B. Jun 25th
58 Jun 21 Comment Beautiful colors, action from the musician (I can almost hear his voice), the shined shoes, and framed well. Two distractions for me.... 1) the man's face may be glistening with sweat, but seems over-processed, it has a somewhat plasticized look. While the pride in the man's shoes is evident and are an important part of the image they also seem over-bright compared to the rest of the photo. B Jun 21st
58 Jun 21 Comment I like how your made your main focus the couple eating by themselves in such a magnificent setting. My eyes were drawn in by how you composed the photo with the couple off to the right along with the long shadows that cut diagonally through the beach almost like an arrow pointing the way. It looks like a place that I would like to visit! Isaac's edits make the image even better. B Jun 21st
58 Jun 21 Comment What a special image you have created. The bond between the generations is so strong with the loving 'grandfather' looking on while the little one eats his ice cream. The bright, contrasting colors (orange and blue) add to the overall appeal of this image. On my screen there appear some purple highlights and fringing on the man's clothing which could be reduced in LR/PS. I looked at this image in B&W as well. It is very strong image regardless of the color. B Jun 21st
58 Jun 21 Comment Southern California.... La-la Land! Here is a woman enjoying a few minutes of the sun on a busy street. While I appreciate the calm woman in a busy street scene (both cars and colors), some cropping of the image while leaving some of the background may still tell the same story. B Jun 21st
58 Jun 21 Comment Gloria - I feel refreshed just looking at this image. Oh the joy on this young man's face. Your fast shutter speed beautifully freezes the action on the man showing the water dripping down his face and hands, yet the background is sufficiently blurred in way that makes it artistic with the look of colorful stained glass. Another approach.... you could have cropped out the left side of the image to keep more focus on the young man (a vertical view). B Jun 21st
58 Jun 21 Comment Daniel - A humorous image that shows the action and thought on the part of the cyclist. The front pathway draws the viewer to the cyclist and once you see the cyclist you are drawn by his gaze to the sign. I got a good laugh when I viewed this image. As an American cyclist (daily) I 'generally' try to follow the law and ride according to the rules. This rider clearly appears to be pondering whether to follow the upside down sign or totally ignore it (my guess is that he ignored it). For those of you who don't know, this is a typical Sunday MAMIL. A 'middle aged man in lycra'. B
