36 Apr 20 Comment What an interesting capture! I just love the colors, all in harmony. Love the repetition. I love the perspective. I would probably have cropped that structure in the bottom. But, Hey, I love it. Apr 8th
36 Apr 20 Comment Larry,
In your previous attempts at photographing this place, was there light in the cabin? I think the warmth of the lights coming from the cabin's openings is what makes this picture so appealing. I am sure in your many previous attempts you must have had the same angle. In any case, in this shot, everything is in balance, colors, contrast, composition. I would darken the logs just slightly so they do not distract from the house. looking at the details in the logs is a bit distracting. A great shot scene ready for a movie scene.

37 Apr 20 Comment Powerful and yet peaceful in the mood. Can't say away from all these leading lines leading to the setting sun. Harmony of colors. Properly composed putting the emphasis on the flowers, yet keeping the interest to the sun with diagonal lines and converging lines leading straight to it. Well done Apr 8th
37 Apr 20 Comment Photography will benefit a lot with this stay at home measure.
What a fantastic shot. Its simplicity and yet so powerful. It has shapes, it has forms, The lighting is the key. Great job. If I were a judge, I would give you more than top score.

38 Apr 20 Reply Thank you. That Alaska cruise offers a lot of photography opportunities. We were scheduled to cruise to Iceland and Ireland this May. Unfortunately, it has been canceled and we don't know when we will be able to do another one. Apr 30th
38 Apr 20 Reply Thank you.
I do have other pictures of the train and its surroundings but wanted to put emphasis on the train and not distracted by other elements. Choosing the best picture in a series has always been my biggest problem.

38 Apr 20 Reply I like your rendition very much. I also have a black white version of the engine from another angle submitted to the Black & White group. But I think reversing makes a difference. Thank you Apr 13th
38 Apr 20 Comment I was there in May of last year, for the third time. there is nothing like Venice.
Contrast and confusion are probably what appealed to you. Horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines are everywhere. Noncomplimentary colors, black, white, orange, blue, grey. Confusion? the viewer's eye goes everywhere, front, back, through the poles trying to see what is behind. I guess it is the intrigue that it creates that makes it an interesting image. Art appreciation is truly a subjective thing.

38 Apr 20 Comment What a fantastic capture. I live not far from Wakodahatchee and go there often but was never fortunate to have that experience. Corona has closed this place, who knows for how long. Back to your image. The storytelling is so captivating. Sharp where it needs to be, good color saturation. My only suggestion is to crop closer, removing most of that green leaf that distracts from the main subject: the feeding. I would make it almost a square format. I am jealous. Apr 8th
38 Apr 20 Comment I keep looking at it and keep asking: what is this? This is generally the reaction a good abstract produces. You chose to present a reflection that is intriguing. I am sorry to say that my knowledge of art is too limited for me to truly appreciate your work as it certainly deserves. Apr 8th
38 Apr 20 Comment Hi Bob,
There is no not liking the warm colors of this image. Rules are made to be broken and I think you did a good job keep the tree centered. I think opening the shadows in the tree would improve the picture. As is it is too dark. Great job overall.

38 Apr 20 Reply Thanks for the comments. I was in Alaska on a cruise but do not live there. I understand your interest in seeing more of the scenery. I have been on an Alaska cruise twice and just love it. But for this shot, my interest was showing this monster black engine. Apr 8th
