Thanks for your great comments Mark. I never heard of the term show "Gravity", but completely understand what your friend meant. I will have to keep that phrase in mind as I shoot in the future. As for the exposure of the image, I wanted to keep the Gazelle a bid darker than the sky to give it a greater POP in the image against the background, although I do like your edit too. As for the front leg. As Freud said "sometimes a cigar is just a cigar" |

How lucky to be able to visit again. It will be hard to improve on this image. Maybe a Monk or Nun at the end of the hallway next time? |

Thanks for your comments Andrew. This is a great statue that I have shot many times. I think this is my best one of all the visits there. Practice makes perfect, or at least better. |

Cool creative image Harley. Your silhouettes are tack sharp and look like cutouts put onto the sheet music. The three of them tell a story of summer fun and kids being kids. I really like the idea of the placement on the sheet music, but I really wanted to see the words "take me out to the ballgame" printed there too, perhaps as the title. Nice work. |

When life gives you lemons...take a picture. Great still life of this lemon Mark. Focus is spot on and so is the exposure. It is not always easy to get lighting correct on objects that are bright and somewhat shiny, but you accomplished this well. This looks so realistic not only can i see all the detail in the skin, I can almost smell the rind. Your choice of black background works well as does the yellow border. |

Well Bunny this image is right up my alley. I just love leading line shots with repeating patterns, especially in monochrome. You are showing us so many elements here. The pillars, the shadows, the roof, the arches made by the shadows and of course the opposite wall. I also must say you did a good job keeping everything square. Nice tones and while the left side is properly exposed a slight reduction in brightness may have the effect of keeping the eye in the center of the image. Great shot of the walkway, it makes me want to go there myself. |

Well done Andrew, even with the mid day sun you have handled the shadows well and we get a good look at his face. Nice job capturing the intensity of his gaze. Good move removing some of the water on his face shield. The water droplets tell the "rest" of the story giving this portrait a feeling of action. You have isolated your subject well with a soft background and made the image pop. I like Mark's suggestion of dodging the darker area, I might have even gone a bit further. But not to worry, this is a great image telling a story. |
