Very artsy Harley. I like the treatment you used on this photo. It does appear to be a painting at first glance. I think the actors colors are wonderful. I am guessing you made him look better that he did in real life. I really like the crop you chose for this image, he looks lost in though as the twists that reed in his hand. I do wish the right hand was a bit sharper, but as it is it looks like he is twirling that bit in his hands. The renaissance festivals are lots of fun. I wend a few weeks ago to ours around here. |

Great capture Mark. I have never seen a humming bird that close up before. I just love the iridescent colors on this guy and how sharp is is from the tail feathers right up to the tip of its beak. Nice catchlight in the eye too. Thanks for the little bit of blur on the wing tips. In my opinion that is needed to keep a real look to a hovering bird, otherwise it looks like it is just pasted there. Glad you have the bee in the frame as a size reference. It always amazes me how small those feet and legs are when they tuck them up for flight.
Wonderful, your time was well spent at the workshop. |

Well Bunny, you have given us a first rate monochrome image to play with here. I really like the clouds and how you gave them the top third of the frame. I think this gives a sense of greatness and volume to your shot. One knows that something is brewing in the sky and you better get out of the way. The tones in the rest of the image are so nice, subtle and well defined. I can see the full range and love it. The mountains provide much interest but, of course, the house has taken over the discussion here. Where to put it? Well for simplicity sake I like the original--it is in the middle of nowhere with an interesting mountain peak in the background. Nothing all around--I think it works well.
Yet, I like your edited crop too Bunny, nice leading line to the house with the shrubs on the right. Mountain on the right leading line to the house. Works too! So, my final decision is the original. I think it has the most power of all the suggested edits. It is a strong image that wants attention. What say you? Or the others? |

Great shot of the Pandas Leo. They are so unique and since they sleep most of the day you were fortunate to capture this interaction between the two of them which is great. Your exposure is perfect and I like the fact that I can see a highlight in the lower panda's eye which is not always easy to get with black fur around the eye. I think Bunny has a point about the window in the background being a bit intrusive on the shot. Perhaps trying to darken the background might help a bit to eliminate the hand of man look. Regardless everyone loves pandas and thanks for sharing. |

Very nice Andrew. Great composition with the plane dropping the "rain" on the slope of the mountain side. I really like how the cloud is soft and beginning to dissipate in the left of the image and looks like monster reaching out to grab the guy on the ground on the right. Of course the bright red against the pale blue of the sky (smoke) really makes this pop. You nailed the plane just enough prop movement to make look great. You really captured this one. Nice work. |
