Usually I just take the sky as it is. I do know how to replace them with better ones, but isn't that like "building" a photo. If we move too far away from reality then do we really need cameras anymore?? |

Thanks Andrew. Funny how a afternoon stroll through town can yield some interesting photos. I still would rather go to the Farrow Islands like Mark did, but you gotta' shoot what is in front of you. |

Thanks Mark, Lane thought my whites were too bright too. I think I need to adjust something on my monitor since I see it as just right. I calibrate, but brightness is always a wild card.
I will have to play with some test images. |

Thanks Lane. I think my monitor might be at a lower brightness than what you see on yours since the peeling paint has nice detail as I see it. Although it is time for a re-calibration according to the reminder I have been seeing pop up on my screen. |

Thanks Bunny. I just converted this one in Lightroom Classic. Since the original image was mostly black, white and rust I only needed to play with the white and black point to get this look. A bit of exposure and contrast adjustment too. |

First of all Mark kudos on taking that trip and climbing mountains to get shots of Puffins. Something I would love to do, but like you, I am an old guy and mountains are a bit harder to navigate these days.. They are such cool looking birds. Your image has a nice soft look to it, thank you fog. It is artsy and looks fine. I did play with it in LR and PS a bit to see if I could get rid of the haze and this photo is what I came up with. I cropped to call attention to the guy standing but your favorite is now gone. I wonder if it is still called a circus with just two. Hope you don't mind my edit. I really think I like your version better, what do you think?

Well seen Lane. I love the texture and detail here. Old weathered wood has such character and tells stories just like your photo. I too wonder what is on the inside of this door. I feel your choice of a close up of this portion of the door gives us much to look at and ponder. I also think that the monochrome version that Mark has provided works well too.
Nice shot.

What an unique person you have captured here. He has a very interesting expression on his face and you are showing it well in your photo. Hair is what this man is all about with the knotted beard and the long, long dreadlocks. I really like everything about your shot although I hope you got one showing his full length of hair too, because what we do see is quite amazing. He must have never have cut it. Very nice. |

Great air show shot Leo. Your image has impact and power. The flying formation is well captured and I think the colorful trails add interest and movement to the image. I feel you have framed this perfectly showing mostly trails and the jets in the upper quadrant of the image--I can almost hear the roar of the engines. Good capture. |

Very nice, colorful image Andrew. Of course my eye goes right to the balloon (I think they are great) and then travels down the image finding the folks on the bridge, who, I think, are watching the balloon too. As a bonus you have given us a reflection of the bridge people and the balloon in the lagoon below. I think the ripples in the water give a nice effect to the reflection, especially the clouds. Nice work. |
