You are so right Harley. Some of those Nat Geo photographers spend a year filming and shooting just to get the right shots. I'm not really that committed. |

Thanks Harley. Yes, the branch is a bummer. I tried to remove it, but I could not get it to look just right. |

Very interesting processing Harley, you have created a pretty cool image from your original. To be honest, I would have discarded the original (silly me), but what you have done is quiet nice. I really like how the darker buildings are contrasted between the lighter sky and water. This causes my attention to focus right on them and they appear to be rising up out of the mist. This should be printed and hanging in the lobby of one of those buildings! |

Nice find Lane. He does look like he is having a bit of trouble lifting off. Your flower is nice and soft looking, just in your style and the yellow and green colors are quite nice. The bee is a bonus and is the icing on the cake. I also like what Harley is showing us with the tighter crop, although now we don't really know that it is a cactus flower anymore do we? |

Yes I understand, sometimes we get what we get. They never seem to stay still do they? |

They are beautiful. Glad you caught them before they were gone.
Great exposure on those white pedals. We can see all the detail in every one. This is a great cluster and you have captured it well Mark. The blooms are the star and that is what you are showing us. I like how you are shooting right into the bloom showing all the detail and subtle shades of color. Nice work on this. |

Nice find Bunny. Sometimes it pays to look in the other direction from the masses. This is almost an abstract with the ripples of the water and, what I am assuming, the barnacles on the young whale. I believe you have done well pulling out the image and giving us some detail. Although I wish I could see more of this whale, especially the fin. |

Very nice capture of these two butterflies Leo. You are showing us nice detail and to capture the two together is a bonus. I also like how creamy the background is allowing us to focus solely on the butterflies. Your exposure is just right--we can see detail all through the butterflies. I would like to see the tips of the leaves on the left as they are the balance for your image. Nice shot. |

Well Andrew, you should be happy with your new lens. You have taken a wonderful image with it here. Exposure is spot on, which is sometimes difficult with white flowers. You are showing us some nice detail in the flower and the composition is just right. Great job. Next time you might try holding a white card above the subject to lessen the shadow just a tad. Sometimes hard to do without an extra hand. |
