Thanks Harley. Yes, the real Pin Up Girls (a la Vargas) were mostly drawings and not photos. Those are the ones I am most familiar with and I could not find photographic Pin Up's to use as a guide when I created this so I just did what I could remember.
As for a fan, no it was just a lucky breeze. |

Thanks Mark. I do miss Kodacrome--it was one of my favorites. |

Thanks Bunny, the yellow is part of the engine. As far as ON1 goes, it is a suite of programs that can be purchase individually or as a group. I think they can do things that Lightroom, Topaz and other do. I just picked up a few one time on a big sale. Don't use them too often except for noise reduction and obviously this image. |

I think your composition is interesting Harley, it seems a bit more dynamic than a traditional centered shot. You are showing us the most interesting part of the flower and there is nice color there too. I do think you have lost a bit of detail due to the enlargement though, but a pretty flower none the less. |

Well Mark, you have captured the "decisive moment" here. Well done. You are showing us a great story of Civil War Reenactment. Color is great composition is working well and that blast--WOW. Only suggestion would to give us just a bit more room on the left so the eye can follow the blast out and away. Good work. |

Wow, you have a lot going on here Lane. There is so much to look at I am not sure where to start or stop. I do like the clay pot and the purple flowers hanging on the stone post the best since they are dominant in color and size. Might I suggest a crop? Just to the right of the purple flower on the stone column and just below the clay pot. I feel this would move the eye from the pot to the flowers and still incorporate the interesting trellis and stone work. I can see why you liked this garden. |

Your sight lines and repeating shapes with vibrant color make your shot here Bunny. This is an interesting village and the colorful houses make the shot. I think you processing technique helps define the image and almost gives us a surreal look making the whole scene, to me, look like a toy village one might see with a child's train set. Very interesting. |

Interesting shot Andrew and now I am hungry for some burnt ends for some reason. You are giving us some nice detail here and I like the sharpness of your subject where the knife is cutting through the meat. While this is a story telling shot, like Bunny, I am not sure I would fully understand the story without your explanation. I think I would like to see a wider view to get a better sense of the action here. Also, you might want to darken the lower left a bit since it begs for attention and does not deserve any. |
