Thanks Leo. Film is making a big come back here. Lots of places are selling it and more and more places are developing and printing both Monochrome and Color. I only wish Kodachrome were still in production--that was always my favorite for any color work. |

HA! Yes Harley to shoot a roll and have it processed cost almost as much as a small capacity SD card. Non the less, it is fun and I think if I shop around I can find lower priced processers than the one I used. |

Thanks for your comment Mark. Good old Tri-X, still going strong after all these years. I was hoping to show the two domes and use the stairs as a lead in to the image. I felt the tree was an interesting element between the two. |

Great view from that drone Harley. I like your subject and how the image is a circle around the temple. Give it interest and keeps the viewer looking. The colors are nice and while there is a lot to see down there the background (around the temple) is not too distracting. I agree with the folks that the building is a bit (quite) overexposed. Hard to avoid since it is pure white on a "normal" landscape background. I think you would be good in the HDR mode here at: -2 stops O, and +2 stops. I am thinking just use the -2 and 0 and process in Photoshop if the software will permit that.
I have tried to tone down the dome in the attached image in PS, maybe a bit better, but grayer than hoped it would be.
I wonder if an overcast day would help here? |

This just makes me smile. A fun shot of a fun time and well captured given the fact that alcohol was involved!
You captured the "Decisive Moment" here and that makes the image, whether it be just for fun or entered into a juried competition. I like how your depth of field was sufficient to capture the folks in the background which adds lots to the story. Thanks for sharing this one. |

Looks just like a painting Lane. Well seen! I like the way you have captured motion in your image. The colors are very pleasing and work well in this capture. This is like a beautiful dance--it reminds me of the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel in Vegas. I find it interesting how your image moves from sharp to more out of focus as we move from right to left. It makes me feel that this would just evaporate into nothing if it were to be seen farther left in the frame. I like this very much. |

Well done Leo. You have used a longer exposure to create a very interesting image. I like how my eye moves with the traffic both in front of the buildings and also up the street on the left. This image makes me want to keep looking at it to discover more!
Your colors here create interest and the soft yellow tones of the mage make the store and apartments more interesting to look at. Like Harley I too wonder what is inside those windows.
Nice work. |

Well captured Andrew. I like the colors and tones in your image. Gives it an Art Deco look in my opinion. I also like how the lights on the building glow and cast light up the walls, this adds to the look in a big way. The palms work well to frame your subject and the noise--who cares. Don't be afraid of a little noise, I think it adds to the overall Deco look you have here. |
