We will all miss Linda. She always had insightful comments and visual examples. I understand why she left though. She was in about a half dozen groups and that is a lot. I know she wanted to do some other learning also. Only so many hours in a day. |

Harley, they are very similar, but my preference is your original sky. I like the saturation better there. The road does look much better in your updated version. though. |

Great image Harley. I love the symmetry here and enjoy going to national cemetery's to photograph also. I really like your original treatment of this image. The tans and browns of the ground match the sky very well and look like they belong. Since the grass was green when you took the shot--this is the artists rendition and that is perfectly OK. Everybody takes the shot (although not from a drone) with the green grass. National Cemeteries evoke a certain feeling and I think your creation here amplifies that feeling in your viewer. My only suggestion would to be to try to color correct the roadways as they appear reddish.
Great work on this one. |

Very nice creative shot Mark. You have a lot going on here and there is so much to look at. I really like the circular effects within the sphere. Must be from the blue plastic you mention. It gives it depth and also lets me know it has a smooth surface--interesting. It is quite obvious you put a lot of thought and time in this shot and it came out very well. Abstracts are not for everyone, but everyone should be able to apricate the work and vision of the artist. I like it! Nice Work. |

A nice serene image Lane. The soft waves are very calming to me. And so is your color pallet in this shot. This reminds me of images I see in doctors offices. Designed to make the nervous patient less so. My only suggestion would be to crop that bit of brightness off of the top so the image has more of a transition from blue to tan. Nice work on this one. |

I think this is a beautiful image Leo. The color's are striking and you have taken this at the perfect time of day. The lights are on in the buildings and and we can see them well and as a bonus we get the beautiful sunset casting wonderful color in the harbor. I think the boat in the foreground is perfect. The light shining on the sails and reflecting into the water is lovely. Great shot Leo.

Very impactful image Andrew. It grabs my attention and tells me a story. You have great elements here. Of course the copter dropping the flame retardant which dominates the shot and we really look at first. Then my eye moves around to see the smoke in the hills and the diminutive fire fighters on the bottom working to control the situation. I feel the proportions are spot on and the exposure is just right.
I do wonder what the image would look like with a bit more visible on the right side (about 15-20% more) so I could see the end (beginning?) of the retardant spray extending that leading line.
As far as the rotors go. Sure it would be nice to blur them, but I do not feel that detracts from this great image at all.
Great capture here.

Thanks for the edit Harley. It does look better with your edits. What magic the new Photoshop has given us. I usually try not to do too much editing like that since it is not allowed in our club for nature shots and I worry that I might enter an altered shot by mistake. Although I did perform some "magic" on this one myself. |

Thanks Mark. It was a bit difficult to get the eye well exposed with a little shine in it as the sun was never in the perfect position--that is unless I waded into the pond for a better vantage point. Thanks for the fix on the branch, I guess the Photoshop magic needed a bit more smoke and mirrors. |
