Thanks Harley--by popular choice the rocks should be gone. That is exactly the purpose of this group, to help improve our images. And I think Fido would return a ball, but the gull would keep the peanut all for itself! |

Thanks Mark. I like your crop too. Linda took out the rocks completely and you kept one and show the bird a bit off center. I am not sure which one I like better, both are appealing. |

Thanks for your comments Linda. Funny, I added lightness to the reflection in the water. I do feel the rocks added nothing to the image. I like the look without them. |

Quite interesting Harley. I think you macro works well, love the detail and texture in the feathers, as well as, the urchin. The composition is very pleasing and the colors compliment each other well. When I first viewed the image I thought it was a ladies hat! Very nice. |

Nicely done Mark. You have posed your wife's hands well and the story of gentleness is obvious in your image. I like the jewelry's and think it adds to the image. The dark background brings all attention to your subject as you intended. I always have difficulty with placement of objects in still life photos, you have done well with yours. Nice shot. |

I really like the simplicity of your image Lane. Your choice of monochrome works well and gives me the impression of starkness with the dark foreground and lone tree--yet the starburst against the puffy clouds expresses hope. This image, in my opinion, creates emotion in the eye of the viewer. Well done. |

So Linda this image has many questions for me. Did you pay the dollar? Can you tell us the dirty joke? Just kidding of course. I really like the image--street photography at its finest. You are telling a story of life on the streets. The dude making a buck telling jokes, yet he is looking at his expensive phone. His look is wonderful with the beard, hat and of course, the pants with the Fleur de Lys that give the viewer a hint where this was taken. Nicely seen and captured. |

Leo, I like the perspective you used for this shot. It draws my eye into the image. I do feel that Linda's crop is the way to go though, putting the horizon in the center seems to give a more pleasing view for me. The color is great and I do like the symmetry of the clouds and mountains. You might try to selectively lighten the cloud reflections in the water just a bit to give them a bit of a pop. |
