Thanks for your comments Andrew. I think the time of day really helped with the color and texture. A lot to be said for "good light". |

Thanks for the in-depth review Harley. I too thought the colors were very nice in the image, it just made me smile and that is what photography is all about, isn't it? I also liked the juxtaposition of the bud and bloom with the bee ignoring the bud, but drawn to the bloom because that is where the pollen resides. |

Thanks for your comment Lane. I think the larger flower looks soft because it is covered in pollen. They are pretty much on the same plane. |

Thanks Linda. I liked how the open flower was covered in pollen which gave it a soft feel. |

Well, I see you are up and running. Nice fall foliage shot from above. I am sure it takes lots of practice to fly and photograph at the same time. Pretty soon you will be chasing the birds in flight for those one of a kind shots. Looking forward to more eye in the sky images. |

Great take on this leaf Mark. Love how you shot it from underneath showing the viewer all the large and small veins, spots and marks. I think the lighting is great giving this an almost painted look. I am not bothered by the OOF areas on the left or the main stem as I feel it pulls the eye to the center right area where we have lots of interest to look at. I would keep the spots--they are interesting and it's hard to find anything perfect in nature. Glad you are feeling better. |

A nice moody image Lane. I really like cemetery photos as they seem so peaceful. Your monochrome conversion adds to the mood as do the wonderful clouds and fog. I think your composition is very good giving the viewer a balanced image with visual hooks throughout. I spent a good bit of time in in that state back "in the day" and miss the mountains of that area of the country. Nice shot. |

This is a very interesting technique Linda. I like how you have surrounded the glass with blooms while keeping the glass and the refraction the center star of the image. I feel your choice of a black background is just what is called for in this case and I like how the flower "in" the glass is a brighter shade of yellow making it stand out even more.
Well done, this is something I would like to try. |

Nice capture at the Blue Hour Leo. I like how your image leads my eye down the waterway into the frame. Along the way you show us a colorful slice of this town with the boats and houses on either side of the water. I can imagine the residents are inside preparing for the day. Nice shot. |
