43 Aug 21 Reply Thanks for your comments Linda. Your subtle adjustment does look good, thanks. I did notice the tip of the leaf, but decided that it was OK with some of the texture in place thinking that it gave a softer, unstructured feel. Aug 23rd
43 Aug 21 Reply Thanks Alex. I considered covering the leaf (it was the last one visible) but left it because I liked the little hairs along the edges. Aug 10th

43 Aug 21 Comment Mark, you have found a great subject for a portrait. I think the lighting is great and you have exposed it perfectly. I can see why you waited to ask for a photo. I do agree that there is something a bit "off" and I think it is the fact that the background and his shirt are both very "busy" and competing for attention. I took your image and gave it a grey background--what do you think? Aug 9th
43 Aug 21 Comment This is a striking image Linda. I like the leading line of the tree which brings me right into the photo to view an interesting tree hulk backlighted by an amazing sky. I think it all works very well and captures the viewers attention. I also like the detail and texture in the beach foreground which anchors the shot--I can almost feel the sand between my toes. I also think your choice to split the image in the middle with the horizon was the perfect choice for this image. I know there are those who would say "there is a rule against that" but you have demonstrated that rules are only just helpful guides that do not always apply. Good work. Aug 9th
43 Aug 21 Comment What an interesting subject and aptly named. You have captured some amazing detail and tones in your image Leo, I think it looks like I could reach in and touch the rocks. I also like how you have given a soft look to the water in the foreground which has the effect of moving the viewers eye to the main subject. I do feel that your main subject (the fist) is just a bit dark since I keep looking at the brighter rocks on the left. Just a note on the horizon it is just a bit crooked. All in all I really like your image. Aug 9th
43 Aug 21 Comment Alex you have captured a nice shot of this flower in my opinion. I like your composition and the shallow depth of field gives an interesting look. You have a mostly black background which sets off the flower and gives it strength. I do feel that the color in the upper left is a bit distracting though, perhaps a crop or maybe a slightly different camera angle next time. Aug 9th
