Very interesting and I feel a moody shot. While your image is on the dark side, there is detail throughout. I really like the stratified clouds and the way the moon illuminates them. I must agree with Lane though that the viewer is not sure where to look as you have two bright areas competing for attention. My only suggestion would to darken the lights on the trees a bit. Photography is all about the light and while you aren't showing a lot what you have is top shelf. |

I like the strength of this image Lane. The repeating patterns work well and the peaks of the roof form a nice line. The grids in the windows create interest in my opinion and are enhanced by the reflections of the clouds. As an added bonus you give us a flock of birds at the top. Great.
I also like Linda's adjustment, but would like to see a bit more at the top of her crop to include a bit of the clouds to give a frame. Nice image. |

Great composite Linda. I really like how you have made the very interesting tree the star of your image. Even with the great sunset background the tree still speaks volumes. It is stately, old and interesting. Well captured. While I feel the round sun in the photo is just fine, I might suggest removing it to see if you like the image better without it. |

Hi Linda, I removed your image by mistake (not sure how). Could you re-add it please? Thanks, Bruce |

Thanks for your comment Linda. As a matter of fact I started out with the bulb resting on a small ring to hold it straight. That really didn't look too good and I wanted to show the wattage stamp on the bulb top as a reflection on the background so that was out. Next I tried just a photo of the bulb without any hand holding it and that looked like it was floating in space. In the end, I felt it need to be grounded somehow. I feel the hand holding the bulb adds to the illusion that is is a lighthouse trapped in a normal size lightbulb. |
