Thanks for your comment Alex. Cardinals are my favorite too, they bring lots of color to the backyard. |

Thanks for the map Harley. That is close enough to where my daughter lives for a photo visit. |

Thanks for your response Linda. I do understand what you are saying and see your point completely, but I also think that in the original the snow is moving from left to right and the space on the right of the bird is giving it some space to move into. To be honest with you I am not sure if I like one better than the other. |

Thanks Linda. Agree about the eye, not sure about the flip. I think they look OK either way, can you tell me why you suggested that? |

Wonderful image of the horses Harley. You caught them at the perfect moment as they were looking at you. I think your exposure is spot on and the background is so nice. Could be a page on the Horse of the Month calendar. I agree with what Linda has done with her edit. You only need to see the two horses--they still can be a family! Where is the Lipizon Farm? |

Great detail in this image Mark. You nailed the exposure which is sometimes difficult with white subjects. I especially like the shadows cast in the center by the stamen and pistil. I like the blur Linda put on the left, you might even try cropping that part out to put all focus on the center of the bloom. |

Great looking high key image Lane. I am a big fan of solid backgrounds because they do exactly what you have done here--isolate the flower to make it the center of attention. I think you chose a beautiful specimen to show us too. I really like the soft graduated colors in the pedals and the texture also. My only suggestion might to be to brighten the center just a bit. Very nice. |

Cool image Linda, I love how the birds (are they Cormorants?) mostly appear to be in motion in a flock around that scary tree. I think the texture you chose is perfect giving a look that even Poe would love. The small wispy leaves and branches add to your effect. My only suggestion would be to show more of the tree truck so we can see where the bottom branch attaches to the tree trunk. This will be a perfect cover for a Horror Story Novel. |

Very interesting shot Alex. I think this is well exposed and I like your choice of composition with the leading line of the walkway bringing my eye to you subject. I think I would like to explore the old factory, I can only imagine what the inside would be like (mostly dark I suppose). I think if you cropped in a bit on the right to eliminate that small building you would put more focus on the main subject. You might try it and see if you like it. Also if you could show all of (or eliminate) the half boat on the left it would strengthen the shot giving you a repetitive pattern. Very nice work. |
