Thanks for your post Linda. I did try to straighten the background without success. When I got it just right the foreground looked bad. I will keep playing with it. |

I feel the colors and tones of this image are wonderful, almost looks like a painting. You have brought out the
detail in the sand quite well and I feel the foreground ripples ground your image. I also think the play between light and dark is great. I think you subject standing on the tracks that are crossing the image is in perfect composition.
My only suggestion would to be to darken the camel a bit, it looks a little overexposed. Very nice shot Maitham. |

Nice still life Mark. I like the colors and designs of the crocks, they draw me right in for a second look. Smart using a group of three, for some reason that number always works well. I do agree with Linda though that a plain cloth might be the better choice to further highlight the colors of the pots. |

I really like your capture Lane. I know it is hard to get these to stay still for their portrait and you have done a good job capturing this as sharply as you did. I feel the radiating "stems" with tiny hairs create a unique and compelling symmetrical design that warrants my attention and I also like the subtle shades of green in the image. I think if you could tone down or clone out a bit of the top of the stem on the right it might make for a stronger image and keep the flower front and center. |

I think you have done a great job converting your photo into a nice portrait of the Mallard pair. I really like the detail in the birds, especially their eyes. I feel you have captured the colors and tones of the ducks body, perfectly and the tones in the background really enhance the shot.
I do notice some light colored "swirls" in the background, perhaps from the texture layer that I feel are a bit distracting. Nice capture and darkroom work. |

I really like your image Harley. I have taken many photos of "the bean" and and always hoped (to no avail) that they came out as nice as yours. I feel the mirror effect, by joining the two halves together gives us a 3D look and shows an expanse of buildings. Your conversion to monochrome removes all distractions of color and lets the viewer concentrate on the form and substance of the shot. My eye goes up the center and then fans out on both sides only to come back to center. Well done. |
