Nicely composed. The yellow lilies are still lovely after 50 years. |

Nice shot, Diana. The flower dried nicely holding its shape and great texture. The vibrant orange pops against the black background. However, it does appear to be a bit soft. I would prefer it to be sharper. |

Hi Maria,
Nice shot of this lovely orchid. The tonal variation of the pink petals adds depth and interest. Sharp details of the flower against the soft, muted background worked well. Very pleasing to my eye. I think cropping the bottom would improve the image as Dick and David have suggested. |

Strong impact! The vibrant red and yellow petals and inner glow create the look of flames in a fire. Well done, David. |

Love it! You captured the the lines, curves, shapes, texture, and color of the kale perfectly. Tack sharp throughout. Nice DOF. The raindrops create impact. Great job, Dick. |

Thank you, David. I try to photograph dahlias when possible since these lovely blooms will be being fading soon. |

Great shot, Gary. You captured incredible details in the night sky. The mountain of rocks and boulders grounds the composition and adds interest. You improved the image by brightening the rocks gradually darkening into the sky. I think monochrome worked well. Your patience was worth the final result. Well done.

Hi John,
I like the painterly look of the barn. It is nicely composed. The color version must look good as well. It really looks like a painting. Good job! |

Hi Robin,
Nice presentation of the countryside. The frames within the frame concept worked well. Each pane tells its own part of the story. You captured many details through the window. The image seems to be a bit soft, but it probably couldn't be helped since it was through the window pane. I like it. |

Hi Peter,
Nice minimalist composition. You captured a good story of the scooter facing the locked gate. The rain puddles add to the mood. Well exposed with sharp details. Nicely done. I like it.

Hi Gerard,
This is a great view of the impressive castle. Nicely composed. Love the dramatic sky. However, there seems to be too much texture in the image. The castle, stormy sky, and the foreground grass are heavily textured. I think I would choose between a textured castle against a smooth sky, or the castle in your original against the dramatic sky. You captured a nice image. |

Thank you, Bev. It looks good, but it needs to be monochrome to post in this group. |
