Hi Blair,
The metal Pelican is a nice subject, but it blends in with the background. I agree with you the white in the background is too bright. Perhaps I would place your Pelican in front of a clean, darker background to show its' shape. It is an interesting subject with great texture, but in my opinion needs more contrast against its background to pop. |

Hi Dean,
Great perspective. The image has many interesting elements. Lines, shapes, angles, tonal variation, and shadows are presented well in black and white. Sharp details. Well done. |

Hi Anne,
Nicely done. You captured the beauty of this old train. Your perspective shows all the fine details. Well exposed. The reflections are dramatic. Red and gold colors add pop to the image. Thank you for sharing. |

Thank you, Damon. I used a small diffuser that fit over the
flash head with some of my shots. This may have been one of them. |

Hi Rita,
Nice seascape shot. Well exposed. Perhaps I would change the color of the fisherman's clothing to red or other vibrant color to make him stand out against the background. The texture on the rock formation and water adds interest to the scene. Good job. |

Ooh your a good girl, Pomme! Beautiful too.
Damon, you captured Pomme's beauty perfectly. I love her pose. She is so cute, she looks like a stuffed animal. You caught the thoughtful expression in her eyes. Your lighting is perfect. Thank you for sharing your setup details. Great shot. I think it deserves to be framed. |

Yes, John. The image is sharper. The contrast brought out the nice texture in the rock formation. The water looks better too. Good job. |

Hi Linda,
Great job capturing this shot with your cellphone. The mist, snow, and fallen trees tell a cold story. You improved the image with brightening. I have no suggestions since I like it as presented. |

Hi Kathleen,
The Frenchman wearing a hat, and wrapped in a blanket is interesting. However, all the elements are the same tone. Perhaps I would darken his hat and chairs to add a little contrast. Nice shot.

Hi Peter,
Your candid street shots are always interesting. This image shows a hectic day for a mother with her baby. The story elicits emotion. Tack sharp details. Good tonal variations in the scene. Well done. |

Hi John,
Nice composition of the lighthouse. Well exposed. Sharp details. The scene has many interesting elements. I see more detail in the color image. The elements( rock formation, foliage, water) blend together in the black and white version. As Peter suggested, more contrast is needed. I would increase the vibrance and saturation in the color image before converting it to black and white. It helps with the contrast. Overall the image is well captured. It just needs a few post processing tweaks to give it the attention it deserves. Very nice shot. |

Hi Gerard,
I like everything about this image. The addition and placement of God's face at the end creates impact. Great perspective, nicely composed, and exposed perfectly. The shapes and tones of the arches and columns adds dimension to the image. You did an excellent job adding God's face. It was worth the climb. Well done. |
