Hi Dean,
Nice shot. Good perspective and leading lines. The reflections make the image pop. Behold the eye of a photographer. Good job. |

Hi Anne,
The farm sounds like a great place to visit with a camera. The black bee nestled between the two yellow flowers is eye catching. However, the blur detracts from the bee, especially since it's in the center of the frame. I prefer the composition of the uncropped version. I wonder if you tried a different crop eliminating the blur, but keeping the two flowers if you would like it. It was a great find, and I would want to keep it. |

Hi Rita,
Lovely composition of the lavender field. The colors are vibrant. Good perspective and DOF. Sharp details. I agree with Damon that the flags and structure are not needed. Very pleasing to my eye. Good job. |

Hi Damon,
Breathtaking landscape shot. Your perspective during the Golden hour created impact. Exposure bracketing worked well. The light and shadows are great. Good DOF. Love it. Well done. |

Thank you, Damon. You are correct. I blended two images in Photoshop. I also thought it looked a bit flat. Suggestions are appreciated. |

Hi Tom,
Nice composition of the veteran riding against the wind. Good tonal variation throughout. Well exposed. I agree with Linda the sky is a bit noisy, but it flows with the rest of the image. I would also leave the white line in the frame. Good story. |

Hi Gerard,
Strong shadows and texture on the sheets provide interest. I agree with Tom. The plaid blanket and toy mouse doesn't add to the image. If you remove those items, the image becomes an abstract and sparks curiousity. Creative idea. Your black and white conversion worked well with the light and shadows. |

Hi Kathleen,
Interesting shot of the Paris police. Black and white suits this image.
I believe that Street photography is about capturing the story and emotion of a street scene at a particular moment. Candid shots can't always be tack sharp. In my opinion, soft or sharp images are acceptable. Good job. |

Hi Linda,
Nice shot. Old structures provide so much detail and interest. Great texture on the barn. The bare branches on the old tree adds to the the abandoned mood. I agree with Peter's suggestion to darken the leftside of the background, as it seems to compete with the subject for attention. I might also darken the lower right side too. Good story. |

Hi Peter,
Amazing shot! I am curious, did you capture one image with a wide angle lens, or did you stitch multiple images to create this spectacular panoramic image? Nicely composed. The darkened poles leads my eye through the frame to the person. I like the high key treatment. It's a winner in your competition.

Thank you for your helpful suggestions, Gerard. It's true that every small change of the light source affects the image. |
