60 Jul 23 Comment Hi Rita,
This is a beautiful shot of the night blue sky. The birds created a triangle around the moon, and the clouds adds interest to the image. Nicely done. Dean's crop worked well. I enjoy images of the sky.

60 Jul 23 Comment Hi Anne,
Nice shot. You've captured an interesting story of two birds that appear to be talking to each other. Good exposure and sharp details. The branches and foliage provide a nice setting. I agree with the other members' comments that cropping and cleaning the edges would improve the image.

60 Jul 23 Comment Hi Debbie,
Lovely architectural image. I always appreciate the beauty and workmanship of old buildings. Well exposed. You've captured sharp details on the chapel. I noticed the side building is leaning to the right. I straightened it a bit using the "perspective crop tool" in Photoshop. I also cropped in on the left side Thoughts?

60 Jul 23 Comment Hi Damon,
Nicely done. Each image stands out on its own, but together create an interesting story. The overgrown grass in the foreground coupled with the weathered door and window tells a story of an abandoned lighthouse. This triptych deserves to be framed. I think a triptych is a great idea, and you've inspired me to try it out.

60 Jul 23 Comment Hi Dean,
Great shot. You captured an interesting " design in the sky" with the contrails and power lines. You captured the image at the perfect moment. The contrails are nicely defined against the blue sky. Well done.

63 Jul 23 Comment Thank you, Barbara. Jul 9th
63 Jul 23 Comment Hi Murphy,
Interesting shot. However, the image appears flat and lacks depth. Is this a composite? The butterfly, as Neal mentioned, appears to be applied on the image. It has a painted effect. Very pleasing colors.

63 Jul 23 Comment Hi Alane,
Two beautiful birds presented nicely. I agree with Neal and Murphy the background should be darkened. Great find to have the cardinal looking at you. Good job.

63 Jul 23 Comment Hi Neal,
The petals on the flower are lovely. The translucent, slightly crumpled, delicate petals look like white silk. Sharp details highlighting the bug on the yellow center. Well done.

63 Jul 23 Comment Hi Barbara,
Great shot of this little critter. You captured sharp details throughout the image. Nicely composed against the black background.

63 Jul 23 Reply Hi Murphy,
I went back outside to see what the darker area was in the background. The dark area is mulch peaking through the leaves.

63 Jul 23 Reply It was well worth your effort. It's a lovely image and well executed. Jul 7th
63 Jul 23 Comment Nice shot, Priscilla. The lines, texture, and shading in the leaf are lovely. Well exposed with sharp details. Good job.
I'm going to Mike Moats' flower conference in October. Looking forward to it.

63 Jul 23 Comment Hi Charlie,
Great still life image. The old, tarnished goblets are nicely placed against the textured background. However, I do not think this is a close up image. Perhaps if you photographed one of the goblets close up it would be more appropriate for this study group.

99 Jul 23 Comment Hi Tom,
This is a very interesting architectural image. The strong lines an shadows create impact. I would prefer the background foliage to be darker than the structure. Nicely done.

99 Jul 23 Comment Thank you, Linda. I do like the darkened window. Jul 5th
99 Jul 23 Comment Hi Kathleen,
Nice candid shot of everyday people. Denice and Gerard offered good suggestions to improve the image. I think the writing on the side of the bar gives the viewer information of the setting where the meeting took place. Your conversion to black and white worked well for this street scene. Good story.

99 Jul 23 Comment Hi Peter,
This is a strong emotional image of today and yesteryear. You caught the soldier's caring expression as he held his dog. Black and white works well for this image. Sharp details throughout. Great story, nicely done.
