Hi Charlie,
This is a creative and interesting image. The gears appear to be planets floating in space. Nicely composed. Sharp details on these tiny watch gears. Well done. |

Hi Neal,
This is another fine presentation of a bug. Tack sharp. Nice texture and shadows on the leaf. I might prefer the bug to be a bit darker, as Barbara has suggested. Either way, it's a nice shot. |

Hi Priscilla,
Great shot. Your perspective of the staircase is strong. The steps and lines sweeping down into the black background adds mystery and interest. You captured sharp details. Nicely done. |

Thank you, Barbara. That's a great technique. I can try it inside in a dark room. Cereus blooms are lovely. |

Hi Murphy,
Lovely environmental portrait of the mallard in the rain. Nicely composed. You captured an unusual pose as he is relaxing. His little red feet add punch to the image as well as complementing the green feathers on his head. Well done. I like it a lot. |

Hi Charlie,
I just noticed your offer for a zoom session. I always shoot raw and process my images in Lightroom, Photoshop, Nik, and Topaz. My images are never SOOC. I am experienced in using Photoshop and quite capable to handle all my processing needs. Your offer to help with post processing is appreciated, but not needed.
Thanks again! |

Hi Barbara,
Nice composition of an old bracket. The texture and shape of the bracket against the wooden door create an interesting image. I like your choice of black and white. Nicely done. |

Thank you, Charlie. My intent was to have the carnations emerge from darkness, so I applied a gradient to the bottom half of the frame. Perhaps I was heavy handed with the gradient. The original was brighter. However, your presentation is lovely. |

Hi Kathleen,
Great presentation of the surfers holding their surfboard ready to take off in the rushing water. It appears that they are ready for a race. The different expressions and postures of the men add to the story. The surfer on the left looks uneasy. Good composition. I like it. |

Hi Linda,
Great candid shot of the lady with her new sunglasses. Her relaxed pose on her walker with a cigarette tells a real story. Nicely composed. Good job on capturing the moment. |

Hi Gerard,
Simple, dark, moody, and interesting image. I like the different wooden textures on the background, bench, and mallet. Composed nicely using the lines in the wood and handle of the mallet leading into the frame. I agree with Peter that the light on top of the mallet is a bit too bright. Very nice image. |

Hi Peter,
Yes, they have an "attitude" with their smug expressions, especially Ed. The lighting is perfect, and you captured their eyes beautifully. The details are sharp throughout. Nicely done. |

Thank you, Peter.
I belong to an online photography club "52 Frames". Each week we have a challenge. One week the challenge was a "chair". I wanted to present the chair in an unusual way. Normally I don't use the double exposure feature. I submitted this image. The texture, shapes, and shadows were more pronounced in monochrome, and sepia complemented the wood. |
