8 Jun 22 Comment Hi Marcus,
Great shot. Old houses have so much character even if they are neglected and abandoned. I love the lines, shapes, and texture on the house. The bare branches and overgrown grass add to the story. Your choice of black and white perfectly suits the sad mood. Nicely done.

19 Jun 22 Comment Hi Stan,
Lovely composition. I agree with Norm. It is a winner. Your perspective of the lighthouse on the cliff emphasized the diagonal line in the image. You captured a beautiful scene perfectly.

19 Jun 22 Comment Welcome to our group Carol,
Great texture, shapes, and colors. The sunlight on the Dogwood and shaded trees in the background provided good DOF.
Nicely done.

19 Jun 22 Comment Hi Harriet,
Nice environmental portrait of your handsome family members. Dr Doolittle and Maverick posed very nicely for you. The colors of their coats stand out against the green grass. I like everything about this image. No changes needed.

19 Jun 22 Comment Hi Jay,
Welcome to our group. Great shot. The light and colors of the sky and water are calming. You captured a sharp silhouette of the tree against the sun. Nice reflection of the sun and tree on the shore. However, I don't think the large arched branch in the foreground adds anything to this lovely image. I would clone it out.

19 Jun 22 Comment Hi Norm,
Beautiful! It looks like postcard. Perfectly composed. Great perspective and DOF. The mountains and stone walls provided nice texture throughout. The walkway leads me up to the colorful houses. Good story. It was worth the five mile hike to capture this shot. I enjoyed viewing this image. Well done.

63 Jun 22 Comment Hi Priscilla,
Lovely image. The yellow tulips against the dark background is striking. I like your perspective allowing us to see the inner beauty and details of the tulips. The light radiates through the outer petals and gives the flowers a backlit glow. Nicely done.
I agree with Murphy about the halo around the leaves. Perhaps you could use the healing brush or clone tool to blend it with the background.

63 Jun 22 Comment Hi Charlie,
You succeeded in sharply capturing all the fine details on the orange bud. I don't think you missed a hair. Incredible. The colors and texture on the bud are pleasing to my eye. Well done indeed.

63 Jun 22 Comment Hi Alane,
The beautiful peach colored rose against the green background is lovely. You captured nice detail on the rose. The two tones of color add depth to the flower. I do agree with Murphy to darken the background and give more emphasis to the flower. Nicely done.

63 Jun 22 Comment Hi Neal,
It is noisy, but it is a nice shot of the spider against the green background. I like the brown tones in the background and foreground complementing the color of the spider. Murphy and Charlie offered good suggestions to eliminate the noise.

63 Jun 22 Comment Hi Murphy,
Wow, just beautiful. Nicely composed. It is a uniquely shaped flower with lots of texture. The deep lavender color pops against the dark background. I like the hint of green. The details on the flower and stems are sharp. Well done.

63 Jun 22 Comment Welcome to our group Shaji,
Lovely image. You captured sharp details on the flower and ants. Good exposure. The yellow flower against the blurred green background is striking. However, I would prefer to see the subject off centered. Nicely done.

99 Jun 22 Comment Hi Michael,
Lovely image. I like the texture of the rocks against the softness of the water. The image is peaceful. Cropped version #2 is my choice. You made the right decision staying behind the group. This is a great composition and well executed.

99 Jun 22 Comment Hi Peter,
Great shot. Good perspective. You captured the whole story. I agree with Gerard and Randy to darken the background a bit and allow more focus on the mother and her child. In the original image the mother and son's colored clothing makes them pop without any further edits. I like both images. Nicely done.

99 Jun 22 Comment Hi Linda,
Nice composition. The handsome horse grazing in the field against the white sky is a beautiful image. Well exposed and sharp details. No changes needed. It's perfect.

99 Jun 22 Comment Hi Randy,
You've captured a good story. Nicely composed, sharp details on the students and the Omega building. Well exposed. Respectfully I disagree with other comments about the sign. I like that you made the Omega Museum sign a little brighter since it is the subject matter of the story and deserves an extra look. Well done.

99 Jun 22 Comment Well done, Gerard. Great shot of a unique subject. You captured sharp details and nice texture throughout. Black and white made it a stronger (Defiant) image. The dark shadow beneath the bent nail adds impact. I like the story.
There seems to be a few bright spots on the left and one on the lower right. So I slightly cropped off the left and toned down the bright spots. Also I used the healing brush to eliminate the bright spot on the right. I think bright spots detract from the subject. However, that is just my opinion. It's a nice image and you presented it well.

99 Jun 22 Reply Thank you Randy. All processing was done in Photoshop. In Photoshop, I added an adjustment layer "invert" from drop down menu to invert colors, and then added another adjustment layer to change the color to sepia. It wasn't difficult. Hope this helps. Jun 2nd
