19 Aug 21 Comment Hi Harriet,
Nice portrait of Phil. I like that his green eyes are complemented by the greenery in the background. The window pane frames his handsome face. I also like that the old wood and windows adds texture and interest to the image. I see you did straighten it a bit, and I tried to straighten it a little more using Nik Perspective Efex. I attached image. I hope you don't mind.

19 Aug 21 Comment Hi Marcela,
I would welcome this beautiful bluebird to knock on my window.
He's looking at you. I like the composition and bokeh. I would like to see his head and eyes more clearly, but I know it's hard to shoot through a window. Norm has good suggestions to achieve sharpness. However, it is a keeper as is.

19 Aug 21 Comment Hi John,
Very interesting subject. Nice texture, lines, and shapes throughout the image. I like the filter you applied. The colors on the controls work well. I do agree with Norm that the light shining through the windows should be toned down a bit.

19 Aug 21 Comment Hi Norm,
Beautiful, very pleasing too my eye. There are sharp details on the hummingbird especially the twinkle in his eye. Well exposed. The color of the flower complements the subject. Your composition is good. The main flower leads me into the frame, and the position of the bird and flower create a triangle. You managed to capture a nice image in a difficult situation.

63 Aug 21 Comment Hi Richard,
Beautiful portrait of the flamingo. Your side perspective worked well as his beak leads you up to his eye. The graduated colors on his beak and head are pleasing. The deep pink adds focus to his eye. The green bokeh background complements the subject perfectly. Well done.

63 Aug 21 Comment Hi Priscilla,
It's a lovely flower. Nice texture and colors. Your choice of a purple background complements the soft color of the sunflower. I especially like the shapes of the petals.

63 Aug 21 Comment Hi Neal,
IMPACT! The composition and colors of the beetle create a strong image. The beetle and his reflection are tack sharp. It holds my interest. Well done indeed.

63 Aug 21 Comment Hi Alane,
Very interesting subject. Good exposure. Nice texture throughout the image. You managed to capture his eye. I wonder if you could darken the leaves to separate the Iguana from the background. Perhaps he would pop out and get the attention he deserves.

99 Aug 21 Comment Hi Michael,
A rose is a rose, or maybe not. At first sight I thought your succulent was a perfect rose. Well exposed, sharp details and texture. Very interesting subject. Well done. No improvements needed.

99 Aug 21 Comment Hi Peter,
Well done. This image was made for b&w. The contrasting tones are perfect. You did an incredible job choosing a new background and merging it with the original image. It completes the story. In my opinion the power pole at the end of the road pulls my eye down the road toward the destination, and I like it.

99 Aug 21 Comment Hi Leanne,
Nice work. You made the right choice to keep this image. The lines, shadows, and shapes makes this an interesting subject. It works well in b&w. Maybe I would crop out most of the foreground leaving a little to ground it. I also would crop the top of the image above the horizontal steel beams.

99 Aug 21 Comment Hi Randy,
You captured a good story. The contrasting tones make it a perfect b&w image. Well exposed. The texture of the stone building provided a nice background. I especially like the little girl in her own frame with the graffiti behind her. Perhaps I might crop out the right side eliminating the boy. I also would crop out the foreground leaving only the pavement. However, leaving it as is would be a more candid shot, and that may have been be your intent.

99 Aug 21 Comment Hi Gerard,
I definitely like the b&w image. The darkened bottle and stems leads my eye up to the white flowers. It is a simple composition and you managed to include leading lines, texture, shapes, and tones. Simply lovely.

99 Aug 21 Comment Hi Linda,
This is a great b&w subject with lots of texture. Good exposure. The roots create leading lines. I do like the dramatic sky. My only suggestion would be to clone out the tree in the back. I don't think it is needed. Your subject does well on its own. Strong impact.
