19 Feb 21 Comment Hi Carroll,
This is a nice story, and a photo to be cherished for years. My only suggestion would be to darken the background a bit. Well done.

19 Feb 21 Comment Hi Marcela,
You did a great job capturing so many beautiful birds feeding on the red berries. Perhaps the background might not be perfect but nevertheless this image is a keeper. How lucky you were to catch a story as lovely as this one.

19 Feb 21 Comment Hi Norm,
I like it. The evergreen in the foreground leads my eye in towards the river. The trees add interest and texture against the white snow. Its a perfect black and white image. Perhaps you could remove the bush on the left side to clean up the edges of the frame. I know it was a snowstorm but the image imparts peacefulness to me. Nice.

19 Feb 21 Comment Hi Stan,
I really like this image. The colors are striking and adds impact. You managed to capture the sharp details of this flower from the center throughout. The background works well. I see you used your phone again. I'm impressed since I struggle to capture sharp details when I shoot with my Macro lens and tripod.

19 Feb 21 Comment Hi John,
Lovely image. It's very pleasing to my eye. This pheasant has such a colorful head. I agree with Norm. If you focus on the bird's head against a blurred background it would draw more attention to the beautiful pheasant. I learned that it is also important to focus on the bird's eye and try to capture it as sharply as you can.

19 Feb 21 Reply Hi Norm,
Thank you for your suggestion. I rarely shoot vertical and should be more mindful next time. A vertical shot probably would have improved the image.

I would like to master focus stacking. I have tried using a focus rail. Also I tried to focus stack images in this camera. Actually that is the reason I purchased the D850. Yes I tried Helicon Focus and it is very easy to use, but I really find it difficult to capture a good stack in the camera. Your images are always incredibly sharp and I am always impressed. I will continue to try. Thank you for your suggestions.

The colors are complementary and emphasize the door knocker. The texture and shapes on the door add interest. I like the painterly look. Very nice.

95 Feb 21 Reply Yes Tom its definitely an improvement. Now I can see more detail in the main flower. Do you think the main flower was sharp enough? I have a problem with the correct lighting.
Thank you

Yes I would hang it on my wall. The colors and texture of the flower are pleasing to my eye. It holds my interest and keeps my eye moving around in the frame. Have you noticed how nature provides the perfect complementary colors?

95 Feb 21 Comment Hi Nilan
The color of the flower provides impact. The spider's eyes are sharp. The yellow in the center of the flower highlights the spider. Well done.

95 Feb 21 Comment Hi Carol
Outstanding. You managed to capture a sharp center and great depth of field. Your lighting leads my eye deep into the middle of the Iris. The back of the flower itself provides a nice background to its yellow center. I think its an Iris.

95 Feb 21 Comment Hi Stuart,
It's simply lovely. Your background complements the flower. I especially like the lighting on the stem and lower part of the flower. It appears to be lit within. Very nice.
