Hi Stacy,
Thank you for sharing.
Nice story telling image. The sole of the boots is composed as a main subject, but the blurred man's face add the nuance of his life story. Dapple light looks to add the mood of anxiety on the future. For me a bit too light on the fence especially the one on right though. |

Hi Ed,
Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful shot! I like the BW version better. I like the texture and detail - well captured and presented. Also I like the lighting. BW version presents lighting better in my eye.
But what it attacts most is the beautiful eye for me.
Well done! |

Hi Mark,
Thank you for sharing.
It is a great shot filled with passion. I like the comparison of two players, especially the expression. I much prefer the BW. It is a great conversion. Well done.

Hi Kenneth,

A good capture. I especially like yellow casted. It reminds me of old photo.
Nice start!

Hi Bruce,
Thank you for sharing.
I like this a lot.
The parachute is positioned well and not over wrapped with the landscape. Nice composition!

Hi Robert,
Thank you for your comments and your edits. I like your edit.
I have not heard about " increasing the saturation of the colors before going to B&W" trick. I will try that.
Cropping right and left might be right, especially left. It reduce the upper left blank space, where it looks too wide open. |

It might be a personal preference at the end.
If I compare the original vs. #1 or #2, The green portion in original looks dominant. It is a bit strong without lot to see. Adding the space in top/left might be able to offset the dominance of the green space in my eye. At the same time, the power of center of attention (lit peak) might be reduced by adding the spaces though.
Hope it helps. |

Hi Robert,
Thank you for sharing.
This is beautiful color image. I like the color palette very much.
Let me comment on the composition.
Currently it has a beautiful leading C curve line from bottom (foreground trees) to the "lit peak". Since it is nicely structured, the alignment is not a problm for me. And foreground trees has a good volume, so the image itself looks stable as well.
Now question is if it needs another space in top/left edge.
Let me show you 3 scenario;
#1: add more space in left
#2: add more pace in left and top
All I did was to add space in top and left and let AI to fill the space. (The reality might be different from this)
