I just have one suggestion for everyone. When you are photographing artwork I would include a credit to the artist who designed the artwork. It could be considered copyright infringement if you don't. I went to a seminar on this topic and it has become a big problem in this digital age. I know here in the USA you can be fined tens of thousands of dollars. I think it is fine for your own collection, but if you post it you may be challenged. There has been several big lawsuits over it. |

I was VERY surprised how sharp the image was though glass. It was nice to be warm versus being out in the cold for hours chasing birds. Thankfully, I know live in a much warmer climate and we don't need long underwear to photograph migratory birds in winter. Definitely try shooting through glass. Put your lens right up to the glass. |

thank you, I will re-edit it in the near future and see how else I could include the original background without tit taking away from the center of interest. |

Hi Catherine. This is a different image from some of your other more abstract images. You seem very interested in design and texture. Do you do graphic design? I like the leading lines and the graphic quality. I would agree that the distant background is a bit busy. |

I love the story here, or the one I imagine. Without the alien, the image wouldn't work as well. I like that my eye goes back and forth as I ponder the relationship between the alien and the young boy. I don't mind a bit of blue color contrast on a winter scene, it adds more emotion. I only wish we could see the full length of the boy, but good image. |

I love Butchart Gardens! Great eye for design seeing this. It has a lot going for it. First of all, I like the organic symmetry of the flower. I like the composition and the perspective you chose. A lot of times people say don't center your subject in the frame, but for this it wouldn't be as effective if it wasn't. If you want to experiment further, you could try motion blur in PS. Try selecting the foreground of the flower and try radial blur and some of the other motion blurs. It could be a fun experiment. |

This is a beautiful conversion to black and white. So sharp and crisp! I can really "feel" the smooth angular metal. Works as an abstract. Again nice black and white conversion. |

I think the overall exposure is good. The color realistic and the image is sharp.
Jamie makes a good point about perspective. Was that your intention? |

I wanted to share that one of my long exposure images "Reaching" is one of ten images featured in this month's PSA Showcase http://psadigital.org |

Andrew I agree. If that bird was more in profile, he would be more in focus--good point! |

You make a good point Pamela, I could blur the background a bit more and see how that looks. I could also flip the image horizontal to see how the bird looks. Thanks for the suggestions! |
