40 Oct 20 Reply Hello Julie! I am going to try cropping the photo and see what it looks like in pano. I actually have a few lighthouse photos that are already in a pano format that I love. Maybe I can do a series, great suggestion. I love the color palette on this Super Color IR camera which is why I chose that particular conversion. It is very easy to also convert it to black and white. I love IR since it works really well in the middle of the afternoon when the light is not ideal for regular photography. Thank you for your comments

40 Oct 20 Reply Hi Andrew, I did not take any photos with my full frame Nikon when I was there taking my IR photos. The camera is a converted Panasonic GX7. I bought it fairly cheap on Ebay and then sent it to Life Pixel to do the Super color conversion. I then edit it in Nik Silver effects. I am going to go back and do those edits you suggested. I think that should be an easy fix. Thanks for the suggestion. I did a lot of IR the other day, but haven't downloaded the photos because I was having software problems since I recently updated OS. 40 Oct 20 Reply Hi Henry, I am not sure about Poison Sumac in South Carolina, but growing up in Massachusetts we were always told to stay out of the Sumac as it would cause a rash like Poison Ivy, either way I don't touch it...lol. Oct 14th
40 Oct 20 Comment Hi Jamie, I would also agree that your image is appropriate for October. The vertical shot works quite well in this format. The exposure is quite nice and the lighting works well. The subject of the image is perfect for black and white photography. Well done. Oct 14th
40 Oct 20 Comment Hi Alison
What a wonderful time of year in NH for photographing the foliage. Sounds like you had a great field trip. You did a good job with the waterfall and long exposure. I love that you captured the silkiness of the water and the twirling eddies. The color and exposure works well. Did you use a filter to capture such a long exposure? The image is nice and sharp. I think the only thing I would do is crop in tighter and leave out the photographer in the bottom left. Since the main subject is obviously the waterfall, I think you can also crop out the stone bridge.

40 Oct 20 Reply Thank you Alison! If you are able to get out and drive up Rte 1A along the coast of Maine you will have lots of beautiful places to photograph. There are many very cool lighthouses on the Maine coast. I love Portland Head light, Pemaquid Light and Cape Neddick Light. All of them are great for sunrise photography. Portland ME is a fun city to spend a day in. Hope you are able to enjoy the beautiful coast of NH and ME in the near future. Oct 14th

40 Oct 20 Comment Hello Catherine! I really enjoy this colorful abstract. You can really sense the texture. The muted pastels in the edited version definitely enhance it. The format works well. You might even try pushing the texture slider in Lightroom and see if you like it more. I also love rust and have taken thousands of images in a train yard in Duluth, GA. Old cars are fun too. 40 Oct 20 Comment Hi Henry! I love the warmth of this image. It really says fall. The colors of the Sumac are rich and the light quite complimentary. The exposure and detail is well done. I am leaning towards the original image format rather than the crop as I think it has a stronger composition. I like the darker background shadows in the original as it creates more depth of field. This is a really nice representation of fall, I just wouldn't want to tough that Sumac--itchy! Oct 6th
40 Oct 20 Comment I love the subject! When I was in Australia I saw many Cockatoos in the fields and yes, they were noisey! I really think capturing the birds in their natural habitat while feeding makes this image more interesting than if they had just been standing there. The exposure and detail is very nice. Love the tones and I find it complimentary that the background color has a similar to the birds color but just darker. The larger aperture and blurred background creates a nice separation between foreground and background. For me, I think I prefer the original format rather than the cropped version. I would flip the image horizontal so the bird on right is not gazing off the page. Very nice!

40 Oct 20 Comment Hello Andrew!
I am really torn between the two versions. Generally I lean towards black and white, but the tones in the color version are fabulous. Both versions are well exposed, while the clouds act as a natural diffuser. The levels are great as I am sure it must be on your histogram. I think the only thing I would do would be to crop a very tiny bit off the left side, but it doesn't even really bother me that much. The low horizon line works well and give emphasis to the vertical crane. Well done!
