Good to know! Florida also has a huge Birding Festival in April but that too is cancelled. Maybe next year. |

Thank you Henry! I am intrigued by the raptors in September in Duluth. I had no idea about that. Really good to know and will add it to my bucket list. We have many hawks, Osprey, some eagles, and I am told Peregrine Falcons here on the coast. I am fairly knew to bird photography, but I have been bitten by the bug. I am still learning to identify many of the species. I do hope to get up to the northern mid-west either this year or next. |

Hi Stuart
Thank you for taking the time to comment and recreate the Puffin scene. I will look into Luminar and rework some of my Puffin images. I really do like the blue sky and clouds. I agree, I should crop in a bit tighter on this image. Thank you! |

Thank you Alison. The best thing about the flat light was that it didn't cast harsh light or strong overhead shadows. I really enjoy these comical, cobby bodied birds. |

This image really appeals to the graphic designer in me, I love the abstract quality. I know you were concerned about the left-hand side, it doesn't bother me at all. I would leave it as is. I think the crop works very well and since there are other diagonal lines, it really is no problem. Love the blue palette. There really isn't much I would change about this photograph. Nice capture! |

Love the high key! It works well with the predominately white orchids.
This is not an easy subject to photograph, it is hard to keep the details in the petals since they are also white.
I am a bit distracted by the green stems. I think it would be amazing to re-photograph without them. The white flowers on a white background was an excellent choice.
Great idea! You have inspired me to go out to my garden and get some flowers and photograph them.

Love Antelope Canyon! The abstract quality of this image is very appealing. It is a very sensual image as well.
The color balance is good. Having been there, I know this is not exaggerated.
I wonder if you use the texture slider and increase it, would it make the texture stand out more? I would crop out a bit of the bottom (floor) of the image. The real interest is in the walls. The layering of light adds nice depth.
When I went we did the photographer's tour but were limited on time and it was crowded. I hear now they closed it for the time being :( Such a great place!
Nice image!

Love the emotional quality of this image. The contrast of the warm light on the buildings and the cool blue skies is fantastic. I love the tranquility of the scene.
The HDR worked well.
I would consider bringing the highlights down, or darkening the skies a bit. You could also try vignetting the sky around the top left and right corners.
The image is sharp and the reflections of the buildings add to the beauty.
It makes me want to plan my next trip!
Nice work. |

Stunning architecture!
What an interesting choice of perspective to photograph from the side, rather than what we typically see from the front. Did you use Lightroom's Transform tool in manual mode or auto? For me, I want me to correct the perspective, particularly on the left-hand side. Architecture is very tough to correct when you do not use a tilt-shift lens, at least in my opinion. I do think the curve on the building's right side exaggerates the lens distortion, even though that part appears visually correct. This is a tough subject because you also have to deal with the vanishing point. I commend you for choosing it.
The exposure is spot on. The image is nice and sharp. I am guessing you used a tripod or a fast shutter speed. The color balance is also very pleasing.
Great job on a tough subject. |
