11 Sep 23 Comment I'm in group 55 but just had to comment on your beautiful photo. Your use of midtones and shadowing is perfect. I really like the B&W with the removal of the leaf. Great job. Sep 5th

55 Sep 23 Reply Here is the original sunflower I edited from. I believe my ISO setting was 160. I shot this with a Nikon D850 and Tamron 24-70 lens at f2.8. I was shooting towards the sun and using another tree as background. You can see why I cropped it tight to capture the yellow petals unfolding and most of the leaves pulling towards the left. The leaf on the right...guess I should have just removed it. Sep 25th

55 Sep 23 Reply Thank you. I'm my mind I was concentrating on the movement to the left and ignored the right leaf. Good catch. Sep 22nd
55 Sep 23 Comment Thumbs up. I like the shadows and don't often take advantage of them in my photography. Sep 10th
55 Sep 23 Comment Nice crisp and clear photo. One of the things I always try to do is look at what may cause distractions of the photo. Now there really could be a spike coming out of this person's hair but maybe it's something in the background. I would have liked to see a little more space around the subject. Sep 10th
55 Sep 23 Comment I hate when I forget my tripod :-) This is a lovely setting I can see why to took the photo. What kind of rocks is the water falling over? They look almost like lava from the photo. Sep 10th
55 Sep 23 Comment I have driven by the Getty Museum for years. One day I will stop and look at all that is there. Your focus is very good, and I do love the way the shadows fall. I have no idea what is to the right but now I'm curious. I wonder if you could have positioned yourself more to the right and just focused on the 4 openings and shadows? Sep 10th
55 Sep 23 Comment Lovely. The moss on the rocks really brings out the color of the waterfalls. The only correction I can see is to darken the highlight on the lower fall to the left of the water. It's the only minor distraction I see. Great job. Sep 10th
